GRAMMAR BRAIN! LYRICS

PRONOUNS IN THE PARK

A dog came up to me in the park and she told me, “BARK BARK BARK!” I don’t know her name so I’ll call her “She.” Her name is “She.” “She” is a pronoun. If I don’t know her name it’s no problem. She is a dog. A cat came up to me just now, and he told me, “MEOW MEOW MEOW.” I don’t know his name so I’ll call him “he.” His name is “She.” “He” is a pronoun. If I don’t know his name it’s no problem. He is a cat. CAT: You don’t remember my name? I lived with you two years ago, and then I ran away. You called me Prince Fernandez Franco Furpants the Third. How could you forget? Good thing you can use a pronoun instead of my name! Pronouns take the place of a noun. Birds came up to me in the street, and they told me, “TWEET TWEET TWEET” I don’t know their names so I’ll call them “they.” I’ll call them “They.” I’ll use a pronoun. I can’t learn all their names, that’s a problem! They are birds. She / she is a pronoun he / he is a pronoun I, me, you, he, she, it, them, they, are pronouns
