List of suppliers which supply the principle storage device(s), principle semiconductor device(s) and printed circuit boards
URL to manufacturer’s website which contains the public disclosure
Statement from the manufacturer for any listed component with fewer than 3 suppliers
If using disclosures to a framework other than GRI4
to prove conformance, index of how the submitted evidence compares to the requirements for GRI
Evidence that the disclosure is annual from the time the product is registered (e.g. link to two or more consecutive year reports)
List must identify the top 6 suppliers of each of the components, defined either by annual fiscal or annual calendar spend, and identify which suppliers of these six are covered by the public disclosure2
Public disclosure(s) must be provided on or linked to the manufacturer's website, include either an aggregate report for all suppliers or to disclosures for individual suppliers, and cover at least 9 suppliers (if applicable). Public disclosure data must cover all reporting requirements of the performance indicators in Table 12.13
Statement must be appropriately signed and dated, and indicate the number of suppliers of the component if fewer than 3. Signing the provided list of suppliers satisfies this requirement
Index must support how the disclosure aligns with all the reporting requirements of topic-specific GRI requirements from Table 12.1
Evidence should support annual nature of the disclosure (such as links to consecutive year reports), and confirm that disclosures are available from the time the project is registered. One public disclosure is sufficient for the first declaration to the criterion
Supplier names are not required to be included in disclosures
This is a corporate criterion Publication of a full report
in accordance with GRI Standards is not required, but would meet the requirements of this criterion, if the report covers all reporting requirements of the required indicators
Somewhat difficult to demonstrate conformance
1 This criterion requires disclosure on nine suppliers. If the manufacturer has more than nine suppliers across the three listed components but fewer than three for one or two of the listed components, it could instead provide reporting on more than 3 suppliers of the listed components for which it has more than 3 suppliers. If the manufacturer has fewer than 3 suppliers for a listed component, then all suppliers for that component must be included in the public disclosure. If the manufacturer has fewer than 9 total suppliers for all three listed components, it should provide reporting for all suppliers of the listed components and can provide reporting for suppliers of non-listed components to make up the difference2 At least three of the manufacturer’s top six suppliers for the listed components must be addressed by the public disclosure3 At least six indicators from Table 12.1 must be addressed to be awarded one optional point for this criterion; if the manufacturer claims all twelve they may be awarded two optional points 4 CDP, RBA (formerly EICC) or SASB standards may be used, but manufacturer is responsible for demonstrating how disclosures created under these frameworks map to topic-specific GRI standards
Sample Conformity Packet
NSF-ANSI 42612.2.1: Optional – Environmental and social responsibility reporting on nine suppliers (corporate)
NSF-ANSI 426: 12.2.1
The following data samples and explanation are intended to illustrate examples of acceptable data. Other types or forms of data may also be acceptable in conformity documentation.
NSF-ANSI 426: 12.2.1
List of suppliers
Manufacturers should submit a list of suppliers that provide principle storage devices, processors and printed circuit boards. List must identify the top 6 suppliers of each component, defined either by annual fiscal or annual calendar spend, and identify which 3 of the top six suppliers disclosures have been made publicly available for. This example illustrates a list for one component, the printed circuit board.

Publicly available disclosure reporting
NSF-ANSI 426: 12.2.1
Manufacturers must submit URL with scope of suppliers covered by criterion. They may disclose key performance indicators by
supplier or in aggregate. Disclosure of supplier names is
not required in public disclosure. A link to supplier public disclosure is acceptable.
Reporting and public disclosure should happen annually. At least nine suppliers including three of the top six suppliers of principle storage devices, CPUs, and PCBs
must be covered to receive points for this criterion.

Publicly available disclosure reporting
NSF-ANSI 426: 12.2.1
Data in public disclosures must follow the reporting
requirements listed by the relevant topic-specific GRI
Standard listed in Table 12.1 (GRI Standard 305 is shown in this
example. Where reporting requirements state “shall
report”, this information is required for conformance. If
using a framework other than GRI, manufacturer must
demonstrate how the framework used aligns with the
topic-specific GRI Standard reporting requirements.

Statement indicating number of suppliers
NSF-ANSI 426 12.2.1
If any listed component has fewer than 3 suppliers, a statement from the manufacturer must be provided which indicates the number of suppliers for that component. Signing the provided list of suppliers also satisfies this requirement

List of all suppliers that perform manufacturing or assembly for the product
URL to manufacturer’s website which contains the public disclosure(s)
If using disclosures to a framework other than GRI to prove conformance, index of how the submitted evidence compares to the requirements for GRI
Evidence that the disclosure is annual from the time the product is registered
List should include all suppliers that are directly contracted to perform manufacturing or assembly. Suppliers do not need to be identified by name
Public disclosure(s) must be provided on or linked to the manufacturer's website, cover all suppliers from the provided list, and all applicable GRI1 indicators from Table 12.2:
New suppliers screened using social criteria Negative social impacts in supply chain and actions taken New suppliers that were screened using environmental
criteria Negative environmental impacts in supply chain and actions
taken
Index must support how the disclosure aligns with the topic-specific GRI standards in Table 12.2
Evidence should support annual nature of the disclosure, (e.g. two or more consecutive year reports) and confirm that disclosures are available from the time the product is EPEAT registered. One public disclosure is sufficient for the first declaration to the criterion
If no contractors are used for manufacturing or assembly, the manufacturer may declare “N/A” on the registry
This is a corporate criterion
Somewhat difficult to demonstrate
conformance
1 Standards other than GRI may be used, but manufacturer is responsible for demonstrating how disclosures created under alternative frameworks map to topic-specific GRI standards

NSF-ANSI 42612.2.2: Optional – Environmental and social responsibility reporting on suppliers (corporate)
NSF-ANSI 426: 12.2.2
The following data samples and explanation are intended to illustrate examples of acceptable data. Other types or forms of data may also be acceptable in conformity documentation.
Supplier List
NSF-ANSI 426: 12.2.2
Manufacturer most provide a list of all directly contracted suppliers which perform a
manufacturing or assembly function for its server products, and note the function performed. NOTE:
The manufacturer is not required to report supplier names and can instead use generic terms
as shown in this example.
Supplier Function
Supplier 1 Manufacture of printed circuit boards
Supplier 2 Manufacture of memory
Supplier 3 Manufacture of power supply
Supplier 4 Final assembly
List of suppliers directly contracted for our server products:
URL and public disclosure of environmental and social responsibility of suppliers
NSF-ANSI 426 12.2.2
In this example, the URL provided by the manufacturer leads to a public listing of GRI disclosures and links to the disclosures. To demonstrate conformance to this criterion, the linked disclosure report needs to address how new suppliers are screened using social criteria (per disclosure requirement 414-1) and explain any negative impacts in the supply chain and actions taken to fix them (per disclosure requirement 414-2)
