Travelling and socializing is something I really
enjoy and will hopefully be able to do more of
in the future. I strongly believe that any one
working in a creative
environment should travel, just to be able
to experience different cultures which
will ultimately benefit their work.
I find all types of creative work interesting
and spend a lot of time trying to
understand what makes that piece
of work so good, be it the idea or
the execution or both, either way it
will benefit my own work when I
understand the work of others.

“Making the simple complicated
is commonplace;
making the complicated simple,
awesomely simple,that’s creativity.”

Revolution Viewing June - July 2010The brief time at Revolution Viewing was an intense 3 weeks of learning procedures and familiarizing myself with programs such as Lightroom, PtGui and Pano2vr. The work produced was for 360 virtual tours and Photo editing. This period at Revolution Viewing allowed me to improve my eye for detail and color corrections within high quality photographs
KMP Digitata 2008 - 09Creating banners and managing stock files were my main duties, as time went on more demanding jobs such as design and production of collateral for seminars, keeping websites up to date and producing HTML E-mails were given to me. The time spent with the creative team increased by skill levels dramatically and taught me how to perfect my time management skills.
King Wah Restaurant 2004 - 06Taking orders, serving food and drink, taking payments and taking bookings were the main roles of the job. This is a family business, so I took responsibility for a number of areas including: cashing up, restocking and training new members of staff to a suit-able standard.
Leeds Metropolitan University: 3-D Animation Special Effects (2:1 Hons) The time spent in Leeds Metropolitan University introduced me to a lot of different skills which I wouldn’t have been able to try normally. Items such as the Vicon Cameras and Virtools are just two programs which convinced me to speicalise in Anima-tion and Special Effects after 2 years on a Mulitmedia Course

I have been set lots of deadlines throughout my life such as in my placement year so I am very capable of producing to a deadline, the importance of time keeping was also re-enforced by my time in the Duke of Edinburgh, having to plan and execute routes, to arrive at destinations at a certain time before night fall. How to cope under stressful situations and becoming more resourceful were additional skills the journey to achieving my Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award taught me.Working in the restaurant has also improved my team working skills in a fast paced environ-ment and how to deal with customers. When dealing with customers I have learnt how to com-municate effectively and calmly even when they might not be. I have had experience with training staff from a very basic level and understanding that people learn in different ways and finding different methods to teach them what must be done is some-times necessary.
