Problem Statement

• Lack of a repository of citizen related data for implementation/management of government schemes

• Similar benefits provided by different departments

• Duplication of efforts in data capture, use and management by different departments

Perceived Solution

• Creation of a database of all citizens of the State

• Sharing of data between departments/authorities to avoid duplication

• Redesign service delivery mechanism through GPR for efficient service delivery

• Emphasis on technology as an enabler

Financial Sanction

• Competent authority sanctions financial benefits through the SSSM portal

Proactive governance - Identification of new beneficiaries

• Pension– Potential beneficiaries are identified based on their eligibility – List is given for enquiry of field level functionaries– Benefits are sanctioned for those who are found eligible– 3.74 lakh beneficiaries benefitted

• PDS– Eligible families include those beneficiaries of certain

government schemes– List of eligible families generated from the database and given

benefits – Almost all the eligible families identified using this approach
