graduated from high school, Sally Ride wanted to be a professional tennis player.

University. • She went to college for many years,
and got degrees in science and English..
• She received a PhD in Science and Physics.
• She is actually Dr. Sally Ride.

graduated, she applied to be an astronaut.
• She was selected as an astronaut in 1978.

first American woman to go in space.
• She flew 2 times in the shuttle called the “Challenger.”
