Main SpaceBased in the nave of the church building, the Main Space can be curtained off to give a black box performance area or opened up as a colourful and unique party venue. The space is suitable for performances, films, talks, conferences, parties and wedding receptions.

Media SpaceSituated on the first floor, The Media Space is light and bright and can be equipped with 3 Apple Mac Computers and a projector that are available to hire. The space is suitable for smaller meetings, workshops and training sessions.

Art SpaceNext door to the Media Space, the Art Room hosts regular arts and crafts workshops and is ideal for those looking for a relaxed and creative setting. The space is suitable for smaller creative meetings and workshops.

White Room StudioThe White Room studio has large windows overlooking the park area surrounding the Arts Centre and is light and bright. The space is suitable for small-scale performances, rehearsals, dance classes, children’s parties, meetings and conferences.

A variety of spaces can be hired for performances, parties, wedding receptions, workshops, seminars and meetings.

We can also provide catering, technical assistance and staff committed to good service.

Suitable for:Performances, films, talks, conferences, parties and wedding receptions.

Capacity:The Main Space is flexible in terms of layout and, depending on your requirements, can hold:

150 people seated at round tables in “cabaret style”

160 people seated in raked theatre-style

268 people with a raised stage and rows of seating

380 people standing only

All public spaces within the building are accessible to those with limited mobility and wheelchair users. A disabled toilet, shower and dressing room are available if required and ramps and a lift provide ease of access to first floor rooms.

The main space has been fitted with an Infrared System, and the White Room Studio has an Induction Loop.

Guide Dogs and Hearing Dogs are allowed into the Arts Centre and a water bowl is available on request.

Two disabled parking spaces for blue badge holders are available to the rear of the Arts Centre, on a first come first served basis.

Staff will take great care to try and accommodate any individual needs and special requirements that you may have. Please talk these through at the point of booking.

A car park is situated at the back of the Arts Centre for unloading and deliveries. It is accessed via Bedwin Street, immediately on the left past the Arts Centre as you drive towards Estcourt Road.

Public Parking is available in College Street and Salt Lane Car Parks, which are free after 6pm.

Early booking recommendedThe Arts Centre has a busy artistic programme and can get booked up a long way in advance so do enquire about dates as early as possible, particularly for use of the main space on a Friday or Saturday night.

That said, we will always do our best to find a suitable date for you so it’s worth contacting us at short notice too.

Planning and LogisticsPlease note, as an Arts Centre, we need to make sure that all events held here fit alongside our existing programme. We may ask you for a detailed outline of your event before we are able to confirm availability. It’s all part of making sure we’re prepared and can make your event as enjoyable as possible for you.

Please note:

• Due to the nature of the building it is not usually possible to take bookings in the main space while the building is open to the public. Therefore hirings are possible with a get-in from 4pm Tuesday - Sunday.

• All hirings will be charged for a minimum of 2 hours

• A signed contract and 25% deposit is required prior to tickets going on sale, so please do not publicise your event before this has been confirmed.

• The full hire charge is payable at least one month before the event.

• Salisbury Arts Centre reserves the right to request up to six tickets for volunteers and staff to attend performance hires for monitoring purposes

• Please ask to see a copy of a contract for full terms and conditions.

CateringThe Cafe Arts Centre team offers a range of delicious homemade menu options to accompany your event. Featuring some of our most popular dishes, these menus are tried and tested and designed to save you the hassle of dreaming up a menu your guests will enjoy.

Cafe Arts Centre caters for groups of 10 - 100. For smaller groups, the cafe is open to the public from Tuesdays - Sundays 10am - 3pm giving you the option to stretch your legs and try anything you like from the cafe menu.
