January 2014 marks an exciting milestone for the salesforce.com Success Community. We now have one million incredible members. It’s been an amazing journey to get to this point. Take a look at how far the community has come and get excited for the many great years ahead.

2005Dubbed “CRM Success,” the community is a one page site with just 500 visitors and the user group program is born.

2006The community is relaunched on Typepad and rebranded as “Successforce.” Becomes the go-to place for feature information about each new release.

2008First Dreamforce where community has its own keynote. 450 people attend. 8 additional sessions are run 100% by community members.

2007IdeaExchange is introduced where customers can suggest features requests and the community votes to bubble up the best ones.

Community keynote at Dreamforce grows to 1,500 attendees and members lead over 25 sessions.

2010Launch of the Salesforce MVP Program recognizing exceptional individuals within the Salesforce community for their leadership, knowledge, and ongoing contributions.

Community moves onto Sites, making it fully part of the Salesforce Platform for the !rst time. A simpli!ed user experience leads to exponential growth in engagement.
