    Overview Salesforce is the Customer Relationship Management tool used by Adobe to manage customers, leads, and opportunities for the Adobe Business Direct Program. In this document you will learn how to:

    Navigate the Lightning UI The Salesforce Lightning UI presents a similar top bar tab based based navigation system similar to the Salesforce Classic UI

    By default, you will land on the “ABD Sales” application, which will provide access to all the data points needed by Inbound & Outbound ABD reps.

    Using Global Search

    You will find the global search bar at the top of the page. This will allow you to search for keywords or phrases across all data (i.e. Opportunities, Leads, Contacts, etc) that you have access to in Salesforce.com. Recently viewed records will autofill based on your search criteria:

    After entering the search criteria, you will be able to drill down and filter your results by data type.

    And sort those results based on relevance or other data points.

    Using Favorites

    Favorites, like browser bookmarks, allow you to tag specific reports, list views, specific leads or opportunities for quick and easy access.

    Chatter

    Chatter is a valuable tool for communicating with your managers and team members, staying up to date on company information and accessing any files you may store on Salesforce.com

    The Chatter tab will lead you to your primary Chatter stream. Here you will find your activity stream, recent groups or status updates, files and other posts.

    The Home Page

    The new Home Page has been redesigned to give you quick and easy access to the most relevant information to start your day. Each section will provide a summary view into recent activity, working leads, quarterly performance and outdated or stale opportunities.

    Lightning Home Page Sections • Quarterly Performance: Allows tracking of revenue against a manually set goal based on your

    opportunity pipeline • Lead Lists: All leads you are currently assigned to in New and Working Status • Custom Links: Home to all custom links like the Inbound Call Wizard and Enablement Materials • Assistant: Will automatically show any Opportunities that have become outdated or that are open and

    have gone more than 30 days without an activity • Recent Records: List of any Opportunities, Leads or other records that was recently viewed • Top Deals: Your top open deals

    Quarterly Performance The performance chart displays data based on your sales team’s opportunities if you have an associated team. Otherwise, the chart displays opportunities you own. Only opportunities for the current sales quarter that are closed or open with a probability over 70% are displayed.

     Closed—The sum of your closed opportunities.

     Open (>70%)—The sum of your open opportunities with a probability over 70%. The blue line in the chart is the combined total of the closed opportunities and open opportunities with a probability over 70%.

     Goal—Your customizable sales goal for the quarter. This field is specific to the performance chart and has no impact on forecast quotas or any other type of goal. Click to set the goal.

    Hover over the chart to see the closed and committed opportunity amounts for different dates. If you hover over a date when an opportunity was closed or set to a probability over 70%, a blue dot appears. Click the dot to see a window with more opportunity details.

    Assistant

    The Assistant section will show any outdated Opportunities and Leads to help ensure you maintain your pipeline hygiene and are up to date on any newly assigned leads. The following updates will appear in the Assistant:

    • Leads assigned to you today • Opportunities with overdue tasks • Opportunities with no activity in 30 days • Opportunities with no open activity

    Updates about leads appear before updates about opportunities. Opportunity updates are arranged in order of close date.

    Lead Management

    Lead List Views

    Reps can get more done with fewer clicks when working from list views. Edit fields inline, or select multiple records to do a mass action. Quickly add members to a campaign or accept leads from a queue.

    • Optimize Clicks and Time by Editing Inline (Beta) Your reps breeze through record updates in Lightning Experience with Lightning Edit in list views. Reps can modify a record without opening it, right from the list view. Even better, they can save multiple records at once. This feature is available in both Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic.

    • Take Ownership of Multiple Leads at Once If you use queues to prioritize and assign leads among team members, your reps can now take ownership of multiple leads from the queue at once. This feature is available in both Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic.

    • Run a Custom Mass Action on Multiple Records Remember those brilliant custom buttons that you created in Salesforce Classic by using Visualforce? With the ability to select multiple records in a Lightning Experience list view, those buttons take on new life. Watch your reps’ productivity soar when they click a button to perform a custom mass action on several records at once. This feature is available in both Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic.

    Lead List Views - Kanban

    Sales reps can more effectively monitor their progress with leads, contracts, and campaigns using the Kanban- style visual layout. This feature is available in Lightning Experience only.

    To access the Kanban view, select Kanban from the Display menu. If the list view you’re viewing includes multiple record types, filter for a single record type to load your records in the Kanban view.

    • Get Prompted to Update Required Fields from the Kanban View Required fields aren’t blockers anymore. Now reps can fill in fields required to move a record to a different stage or status from within the Kanban view.

    • Modify Records from the Kanban View Everybody hates a detour. Great news: Now you reps can edit or delete records from the Kanban view. This feature is available in Lightning Experience only.
