AN INTERVIEW TO LLUÍS GONZÁLEZ, OUR CATALAN TEACHER.
We are Elena, Javi, Laila, Manel and Álvaro and we are interviewing our Catalan teacher Lluis.
Student: Where are you from?
Lluís: I was born here in Viladecans and I’ve always been here living, working...
Student: How many languages can you speak?
Lluís: Fluently, at least 4: Catalan, Spanish, English and Italian.
Student: How long have you been teaching at Sales College?
Lluís: Well, this is my second year here as a teacher but I don’t know if you know that I was a Student at Sales College, and I have Eva as an English teacher and I learned a lot of useful things.
Student: Do you like your job?
Lluís: I don’t like it, I love it! You know me, it’s very easy to see that I love this job, it’s my passion.
Student: What do you do in your free time?
Lluís: I don’t have so much spare time, but in my free time I like to be with friends, sometimes I write and I take advantage of my free time sleeping.
Student: Are you married?
Lluís: No, but maybe one day... I don’t lose my hope.
Student: What is your favourite food?
Lluís: Almost everything. But especially my mama’s macaroni, they are delicious!

AN INTERVIEW TO PEP VALLS, OUR “AULA D’ACOLLIDA” TEACHER
We are Adrian, Raquel, Juanma, Tatiana and Maroua and were going you interview Josep Valls, a teacher at Sales Secondary School in Viladecans.
Student: Where did you start teaching?
Pep: I started teaching in a private school in Viladecans, “San Gabriel”
Student: How long have you been teaching?
Pep: I don’t remember. I started teaching when I was 19 years old, to adults. My first job was in Colegio Modolell, SAFA, when I was 21. 33 years ago.
Student: Do you like our school? Are you comfortable here?
Pep: Yes, of course! I like it. Yes, because the students are quite well and I’m able to do everything I like, the Comenius, the exchanges…
Student: How many languages can you speak?
Pep: I can speak three languages in a high level apart from Catalan and Spanish. I can speak Italian, French and English. I can understand German and Serbian because my wife is from there.
Student: Do you live in Viladecans?
Pep: I live in Barcelona, near Plaça Espanya.
Student: How do you come to school?
Pep: I come to school by bus usually, but sometimes I come by car.
Student: Do you like sports?
Pep: I don’t practice any sport because of my knee. I was injured a long time ago.
Student: What do you do in your free time?
Pep: Usually I watch films; I walk around Barcelona and visit museums.

THE MISSING PLAY
On 24th May, the Blue Mango theatre came to
our school for the show The missing. There
were students of 3rd and 4th ESO in the gym.
The play was 1 hour long and there were three
players: two women and a man.
The play was about a city controlled by the
gangsters, in the 1920′s Chicago; and under
the rules of prohibition. Two rival gangs- the
Tunas and the Shadows, fight for control of the
city. When a huge fire rips through Big
Tuna’s warehouse Loli Lilo, a young female journalist, decides to go undercover
and investigate. But she soon discovers nobody is quite what they seem…
We – Carol, Núria, Sergi, Luis, Elena, Manel and Álvaro - interviewed the
actors:
- Where are you from?
- I’m from Toronto, Canada. I’m from Belfast, Ireland. I’m from
Birmingham, in the center of England.
- How much time did you spend to prepare your script?
- We were in rehearsal, we spent one week. Once it’s on the road, we
change something sometimes. We first performed the show for an
audience in October.
- How long did you spend to prepare the play?
- Well, it’s always changing, as well you know, every show’s different,
and then, we sometimes, we talk. It’s always growing. You find new
things about your character.
- Do you like your role in the play?
- I always play the badly, I love it, yeah… It’s great fun, everybody likes
acting as a gangster, it’s good for guys. I enjoy my role, my play.
When I first read the play I was really challenged, I wanted that part.
- What is your favourite part of the play?
- My favourite part of the play is when Sugarlips sings… Yeah, me too.
- Who is the lead character in the play?
- Our play doesn’t really work like that, we are a cast of three, we are
on the stage for probably for the same amount of time and
sometimes… We don’t really have like lead characters. We are more
team.
- Do you like Jazz music?
- I love Jazz music. Me too. YEAH!
- What did you studied for became an actor or an actress?
- Well, I did a level theatre studies when I was at school, when I was
16-17. When I was 18, I went to university and studied theatre and
production. And then I started working on education theatre soon. I
didn’t study for acting, I was playing in a Irish band and used to take
part in a circus in Ireland for a while.
Last 31st May Clever Pants Company came to Sales College. The students of
2nd and 3rd ESO watched the show of Teen Trials in th gym.
Teen Trials is a comedy and is about the hopes and frustrations of teenagers’ everyday life.
The play is about important issues which affect teenagers that is why it is called “Teen Trials”. It is about friends, parents and romance.
What are your names and where are you from?
My name is Stuart, you know, like ‘’Stuart Little’’ and I am from Scotland.
My name is Brad and I’m from Zealand.
My name is Nancy and I’m from New Castle.
Where did you study drama?
I studied drama in New Castle.
I studied drama in New Zealand.
I didn’t study drama.
Did you spend a lot of time studying the dialogues?
Yeeeeees!
About four weeks.
What’s your favourite role in the play?
My favourite is the end.
I like playing Brian.
I like playing Susan.
Who is the lead character in the play?
The lead in the first story is probably Allan.
Probably the lead in the second is me, Susan.
The lead in the third is Peter.
