He didn't think it was possible. But he did it he finally beat Rangiku and Shuhei. He feltso accomplished he dranktwenty bottles of Sake in under an hour while Rangiku drank

seventeen, and Shuhei ten. Renji stood up all wobbly and looked at Rangiku, who was dizzy and

had her heads thrown back on the couch, Shuhei was mumbling random words, they all had aslight red tint above the bridge of their noses.

"In y-your farsee. R-Rangiku I've f-finally beat chu S-Sake is so gewd!" Renji slurs

out.

"Shhhhhut eht R-Renji..." Rangiku manages out before she bursts into small fits of laughter.

Renji's eyes widen, he covers his mouth and dashes to the hallway bathroom, he empties hisstomach out; he leans against the wall and closes his eyes.

"H-Hey Shuuuuuuheyyyy! W-When did you get so smexiiiii?" Rangiku slurs out.

"Watcha mean Rangiku? Y-you're the Smexeh oneeee!" Shuhei shouts out. They both crash.

-To Renji-

"What the hell was that.? Gah damn headache no I'm hearing things stupid

Rangiku why did she have to suggest we drink an hour before my birthday damn what

time is it?" Renji thinks to himself. The sound he heard was Shuhei falling to the floor andknocking over a vase.

He looks up to the counter of the bathroom's sink, he sees the clock reads 11:58 he groans andleans back against the wall of the bathroom, he loves the feeling of the smooth cold texture

against his throbbing forehead. He falls asleep.

-To Renji-

Renji glanced back up at the clock after he woke up, it read 11:00 A.M his eyes widened, he got

up and took a shower, he rubbed soap all over his hard packed abs, and all over his muscular

body, girls would have had a nosebleed, his red hair was mid-back, he stepped out of the shower,his naked form covered in steam, he grabbed a dry white towel and wrapped it around his waist,he exited the shower only to bump into something, more like someone.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE" Renji shouts out to the violet eyed woman.

She gives him a "I'm not surprised you drank a lot last night." Look, he huffs and looks up at the

ceiling.

"Well if you must know I came here to take you out to the world of the living stupid, were

going to celebrate your birthday Baka" Rukia states with a smirk.

He mentally smacks himself for, forgetting his own birthday. He nods and walks toward his

bedroom to change, while Rukia goes downstairs into the kitchen. She had cleaned up downstairs

and cleaned the living room.

Renji put on beige pants, a loose white collar shirt, which the sleeves reach up to his wrists, his

hair was up and his tattoos were clearly visible.

"That's it no more drinking with those Baka's anymore and definitely no more beer

pong" Renji thinks while walking down the stairs.

"Here." Rukia says while handing him a cup filled with herbal tea.

"It'll help with the major hangover you probably have right now or it'll take away any nausea

you're probably feeling, or will be feeling soon." She states.

He nods his thanks and takes the tea, he gulps it all down in one swallow, and sets it in the sink,

she walks to the door, her hips slightly swaying, Renji didn't mean to stare, but who wouldn't?

"Did she always walk li ke that?"He asked himself.

"Coming Renji?" She asks.

"Hai."

World of the living

"Great. Strawberry's here too?" Renji asks Rukia.

"Yes, now you two get along, especially you Ichigo its Renji's birthday so shut up and deal

with it. Sorry Orihime for their childish behavior." Rukia apologetically says.

Orihime gives a warm smile, and shakes her head. She holds Ichigo's hand.

"No problem Rukii-Chan please shall we go in and watch the movie?" Orihime asks.

"Hai!" Rukia replies.

"Four tickets for "The grudge"please" Rukia asks the ticket seller, he nods and hands her four

tickets, they each pay and go in.

"Hey Rukia Orihime Me and Renji will get the snacks you two go find some seats alright?"Ichigo says.

"Hai, Ichigo-Kun." Orihime replies.

"Alright." Rukia says.

The two women leave to go find seats. Ichigo stands in line at the snack line with Renji, it's a

long line, but not too long, Ichigo decides to start up a conversation.

"So when you going to tell Rukia?" Ichigo asks.

"Tell Rukia, what?" He replies.

"Oh I don't know that you're perhaps madly, deeply, and hotly in love with her." Ichigo replies

in a very sarcastic voice.

"Shut it strawberry" Renji mutters.

But everyone in the line if they wanted to could have turned around and seen the light red tint onthe bridge of his nose, he shoves his hands in his pockets and looks up at the ceiling, Ichigo

smirks and moves more ahead in line, Renji rolls his eyes and moves forward also.

"What can I get you sir?" The man at the front counter asks.

He has black hair, that's short, but somewhat layered, Ichigo's eyes widen. He points an accusing

finger at the man with glasses.

"Uryu what are you doing here?" Ichigo questions.

"Isn't it obvious? I work here." Uryu replies.

"Since when!"

"Since a week ago now are you going to order something or not? I have other customers"

Uryu says.

"Oh yeah! Uh two ice's a box of sour patch, one large popcorn and how 'bout you Renji?"Ichigo says.

"Coke and some gummy bears."

"Got it." Uryu says.

He goes to the back and gets the stuff then comes back and puts it on the counter, Ichigo grabs it,

Renji pays and they head to the theatre room.

The grudge begins to play, Orihime already has her arm linked with Ichigo's and she's already

burying her head on his shoulder, Ichigo sweat drops. Rukia uses Renji's arm, she hides her face

in it; he blushes slightly at their closeness.

Everyone in the movie theatre screams when the crazy dad is killed the son and he goes after his

daughter. Rukia shakes in fear; Orihime is blocking it all out.

"Jesus! This is scary!" Rukia hurriedly whispers.

"I know right! It's awesome!" Renji says.

Rukia sweat drops, but nods, finally the movie finishes, everyone stands up and begins to exit the

huge theatre, Ichigo throws away his almost gone popcorn, while Orihime is still drinking her

Ice, they head outside, Orihime and Ichigo go their own separate ways after saying goodbye,

Renji sighs, Rukia shivers like crazy, Renji noticing she's very cold, he takes off his leathermotorcycle jacket and puts it around her shivering shoulder's, he smirks, she sighs and nods her

thanks, he gets an idea.

He picks her up bridal style, she shrieks, but giggles, he smiles, and throws her over his shoulder,

the two head home.

"Happy birthday Renji I'm glad you had fun" Rukia says.

"I did Thanks I appreciate it Rukia." Renji replies.

He continued walking home, with a protesting Rukia to let her down, the two best friendslaughed most of the way to his house.

"Listen Rukia I have to tell you something" Renji quietly says.

"What is it Renji?" Rukia says.

"S-Since we were kids I wasn't always the best out of te bunch... y-you've changed me

Rukia you've changed me from that little immature kid to a respectful less immature manI'm thankful to you Rukia for that." Renji says.

"Renji"

"I guess what I'm trying to say is after all that time that we were together I've had these

feelings of protectiveness towards you I realize it wasn't because I had to protect you it

was because I wanted to because because Rukia I love you." Renji admits.

He leans forward on the couch and presses his lips to hers, so softly, she didn't even think it was

possible for his rough nature. She wraps her small arms around his big shoulders. He wraps his

big arms around her small waist and pulls her to him.

He gently lays a big hand on the small of her back, and guides her down onto the couch. She

hugs him and cry's tears of joy at Renji's confession. He travel's his lips down her jaw line and toher neck, he places cute butterfly kisses here and there; with his hand he uses his thumb to wipe

away her tears. She smiles and her eyes are clouded with love and passion.

"I love you Rukia Kuchiki." Renji murmurs against her lips.

"I know Renji I know And I love you so very much" Rukia replies.

He smiles and lays his head down on her chest, soon he listens to the beat of her heart, he smiles

contently and peacefully, he tightens his hold on her, Rukia smiles and runs her small handsthrough his spiky hair.

"Happy birthday Renji You old Baka." Rukia happily, but quietly whispers

"Hmmm" He peacefully sighs out.
