First Communion Prayer
Our Jesus, We believe that You are truly present in the most blessed sacrament. We
love You above all things, and we desire to process You within our soul. We believe
that because You have said it, and We are ready to give our Life to maintain this truth.
Amen
Congratulations to Our First Communion Students. May God Bless you on this
special day. May the happiness of the celebration continue as you begin a new life in Christ.

From the Desk of Mrs. Izzi
St. Rose celebrated Reading Week with several special events
including having mystery readers scheduled throughout the week.
We had several enjoyable activities including having pupils enjoy
popcorn while reading their favorite book and wearing their PJs to
school as pupils got cozy with their favorite piece of literature. This
special week which celebrates a love of reading was organized by
several teachers but lead by our Resource Teacher Mrs. Powers. I
want to thank her for her time with this special event and for
sharing her love for reading with our students as she has been our
leader in the success we have had with the Accelerated Reader
program.
As students celebrated the joy of reading our Scholastic Book Fair
was opened all week. Funds earned from this event are used to
purchase books and other items for St. Rose School. Mrs. Linda
Moretti organized the Book Fair and many parents volunteered to
help her set up and work the register. Thank you, Mrs. Moretti and
all of our volunteers for their dedication.
I am grateful for the work our parents give to our school and truly
appreciate their support. Last week at our Eight Month Club
luncheon we had several raffle baskets beautifully assembled.
Much time was put into this seeking donation items for the
baskets which was done by Mrs. Soares and Mrs. Baccari. I also
want to thank our Home School Association (HSA) Board; Mrs.
Linda Moretti, Mrs. Liz Burns, and Mrs. Amanda Silvia for
assembling the baskets. Our HSA Board also planned a wonderful
Ice Cream Social this week which included Cookie Dough ice
cream and was attended by many.
This past Friday was Grandparents Day and many grandparents
visited classrooms to see their grandchild(rens) class work and
meet their teachers. First Friday Mass was celebrated on this
special day at the church. Ass usual our Chorus provided us with
beautiful music! Many grandparents contribute to helping their
grandchild(ren) attend a Catholic school and I want to thank them
for their sacrifice and giving their grandchild(ren) the gift of a
Catholic education.
Lastly, our Grade two pupils made their First Communion this
Saturday morning. This event is done in conjunction with the
Religious Education program and I want to thank our Grade 2
teacher Mrs. Colleen Quattromani and Mrs.
Rachael Czepyha, the Religious Education
Director, who also works at the school. Next
Sunday Grade 2 will be Crowning the
Blessed Mother during the 10:30am Mass
as we will be celebrating Mother’s Day.
Have a wonderful week!

Send your kids on an impacting island adventure!
At Shipwrecked VBS, kids discover how Jesus rescues us through life's storms. Shipwrecked is filled with incredible Bible-learning
experiences kids see, hear, touch, and even taste! Sciency-Fun Gizmos,
team-building games, cool Bible songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the standout activities that help faith flow into real life. (Since everything is hands-on, kids might get a little messy. Be sure to send them in play clothes and safe shoes.) Plus, we'll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life—something we call God Sightings. Get ready to hear that phrase a lot!
Parents, grandparents, and friends are invited to join us at Sail Away Sendoff for each day at 11:50, a daily exploration of our Jesus' rescue!
Once again, we will have a separate area for our younger VBS participants.
Children who are ages 3-6 will join us in our Lower Deck Crews.
Children ages 7-10 will join us in Upper Deck Crews.
Children ages 11-13 are welcome to join us as Junior Crew leaders and those ages 14 and up are welcome to join us as Crew leaders.
So, mark these dates on your calendar to join us at Shipwrecked VBS! June 25-June 29th.
If you have not registered, you still can. Drop by the office for a registration or see Mrs. Czepyha. Adults are welcome to join us on this adventure as well. If interested in sharing your time and talents, please see Mrs. Czepyha.
Our JJ Youth Group is looking for someone willing to share their time and talents with our Youth group members. Our co-leader needed to step down and we are looking for someone to help so the group can resume. If interested, please see Mrs. Czepyha.
