Saint Thomas MOM’s Inspirational and Support Group! This ministry provides Mom’s with inspiration, guidance, and emotional support and strengthens the bonds of friendship and sisterhood. The next meeting will be held on Monday, May 9th at 7pm in the convent.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
The 3rd Annual Catholic Citizenship Awards of the Southington Knights of Columbus, Assembly 122 will be held from 12 noon to 3pm on Sunday, May 22nd at Hawks Landing CC, Southington. Honorees this year are Gloria Colonero, Mary Our Queen;
Nicholas DePaola, St. Aloysius; John Leary, St. Dominic; and Sr.

MERCY ME: THE CHALLENCE OF SELF-FORGIVENESS
The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Presents the workshop “MERCY ME” on May 16th at 6:30pm in McGivney Hall, 74 West Main St., Waterbury, CT. UNICO GOLD MEDAL OF HONOR DINNER
The Southington Chapter of UNICO National will hold their 71st Gold Medal of Honor Dinner on Wednesday evening, May 18, 2016, and this years’ award recipient is Sister Marie Roccapriore. The event will be held at the Aqua Turf Club on Mulberry St. in Southington, with Cocktails at 6:15pm and Dinner at 7:00pm. Tickets are $55 per person and are available at the St. Thomas Rectory.
PENTACOST SUNDAY
Next Sunday is Pentecost Sunday, one of the greatest days on the Church’s calendar. The liturgical color of Pentecost is red, signifying the fire of the Holy Spirit. We invite all parishioners to wear something red next weekend.
COURAGE AND ENCOURAGE SUPPORT GROUPS
Courage is a Catholic support group for men and women who experience same-sex attraction and are seeking to live chaste lives in Christ. Courage plans to meet Thursday, May 12th and May 26th at 7pm. Encourage helps the loved-ones of those who experience same-sex attraction to grow in understanding and love, while honoring the virtue of chastity. Encourage will meet on Wednesday, May 18th at 7pm. ARCHBISHOP’S ANNUAL APPEAL
The Archbishop’s Annual Appeal exceeds $8,000,000! Thank you to the parish families who have made a gift or pledge to the 2016 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal. If you have not yet participated, please prayerfully consider doing so. Last year due to your generosity, the Appeal donated almost $1,000,000 to local charities. Here are three of the local organizations in your area that were provided funds through the Vicariate Outreach Program: Bread for Life, Southington, Franciscan Life Center, Meriden, and Master’s Manna, Wallingford.
