    SUNDAY COLLECTION

Prayer to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Feast Day - July 16th

O Most Holy Mary of Mount Carmel, pray for me.

You watch over those who follow the Gospel of your Son with a mother’s loving care. Look now upon me and cover me with the embrace of your special protection.

Strengthen me when I am weak. Enlighten the darkness of my mind with your wisdom. Increase in me the virtues of faith, hope and charity.

As you fulfilled all of our hopes and dreams as members of the Church, help me now to show forth the love of Jesus in my life.

O Mother of Carmel, comfort and protect me all the days of my life. Amen.

The St. Therese parish community is happy to welcome our new parochial vicar Fr. Brian Henden. Fr. Brian was born in Burbank, CA and was ordained on May 22, 1993. He was assigned to St. Therese parish following his ordination and served as parochial vicar for 4 years. Since then he has served at Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, Arizona as a teacher and campus minister. Fr. Brian was also the vocation director for the Carmelites for 8 years, during that time he lived in Houston, Los Angeles, and Chicago. This past May Fr. Brian celebrated the 25th anniversary of his ordination. Like many Carmelites before him, he went out to see the world and has now returned to the best parish and greatest people and we could not be hap-pier. We all welcome Fr. Brian with open hearts and open arms and wish him all the best as he begins this new chapter in his Carmelite life.

Welcome Fr. Brian Henden, O. Carm.
