Thanks…. We would like to thank the family of Clara Mansfield who gave a most generous donation to the Rosary Altar Society. A much-needed and beautiful Censor Stand, which holds the Incense used for Liturgies, has been purchased. It is near the Baptismal Font, and we will all enjoy its beauty, as well as the blessings that represent the use of this gift. Thank you!

May They Rest in Peace …. Please remember in your prayers these parishioners we have lost in the last couple weeks: Mary Louise Bell, Frank Mohl, and Elizabeth Mehall. Please offer comfort and support to all of their families during this time.

January 14: A Walk Through Mass with Fr. Jim January 21: Guys Only Night with Fr. Bandura (young men grades 9-12 only). Guys Only Night with Father Bandura

Young men in grades 9-12 are invited to join Father Tyler Bandura here at Saint Paul Church for an evening

of faith, fellowship and food to talk about “Living as God’s Men in a Challenging World”.

Feel free to bring a friend or two!

THE LAMB OF GOD “Behold the Lamb of God!” We hear this phrase every Sunday at Mass, but there’s a good chance that many Roman Catholics do not know who in the Bible originally spoke it. The phrase appears only in the Gospel of John, on the lips of John the Baptist, who ut-ters it twice. In today’s Gospel reading, John proclaims Jesus as the Lamb of God, and two of John’s own disciples then follow Christ. A little bit later Andrew, who heard John and then followed Jesus, brings his brother Simon to be re-named Cephas, or Peter. A careful look at these Bible verses shows us the mission of everyone bap-tized into the Body of Christ: we must always proclaim our faith in Christ, so that others will follow him. We may not know how the will of God might work through those we bring to Christ; that is not the point. The point is that our ongoing mission as a church is to bring others to Christ, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co., Inc.
