The doctor is staying at the hotel with a young Dutch call girl called Alina Bradley. Though the man is quite a lot older than the woman, the couple seem very happy. They plan for a future together unaware that the detective is following them. After Hufland's body is found at a phone booth, Derrick and Harry Klein are left puzzling as to who shot the detective. Then, when the detective's secretary is also found shot, with no evidence of the perpetrators, it is obvious to the police that these are the doings of professional criminals. Has Dr. Soest's work got something to do with the killings
