Stewardship: A Way of Life
28th Sunday in Ordinary Time
“My God will supply whatever you need…”
Philippians 4:19
God really does provide for those who are grateful and generous. This is very difficult for people who don’t live a stewardship lifestyle to believe. People are skeptical and say it’s just coincidence. If you are skeptical, try living a stewardship lifestyle for just one month - be generous with your gifts of time in prayer, talent in charitable works and treasure and see how God provides for your needs.
WORD OF LIFE: “I would now like to say a special word to women who have had an abortion. The Church is aware of the many factors which may have influenced your decision, and she does not doubt that
in many cases it was a painful and even shattering decision. The wound in your heart may not yet have healed. … But do not give in to discouragement and do not lose hope. … The Father of mercies is ready to give you his forgiveness and his peace in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.”
Pope Saint John Paul II Evangelium vitae, no 99

Meal ROSARY AT ST. MARY: On Monday mornings at 11:00 a.m. the rosary is said at Our Lady’s statue (corner of St.
Mary and Parkview). The group is small, but dedicated. We are in chairs and social distanced 6’ apart. We pray for the United States to be healed and protected from the evil in the world. It would be wonderful to have others join us and support Our Lady’s request to say the rosary for our country. It only takes 15 minutes. Please consider joining us this Monday for the rosary!

KEEPING FEET WARM AND HEARTS OPEN DURING COVID-19: The Smercheck family is taking on their seventh year of Socktober, providing an essential and often overlooked item for people in need in our community. Thanks to the Smercheck’s, Gifts for Kids, Edgerton Outreach and the Edgerton Schools, Gifts For Kids received nearly 10,000 pairs of socks over the past six years through the Socktober drive. This year the drive goes on, even with the challenges our community is facing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Community members have until October 31st to drop their donation of new socks at Petry Chiropractic or the Edgerton Library. All donations stay in Edgerton. For more Socktober information or to make a financial donation to the cause, go to EdgertonGiftsForKids.org or like the Gifts For Kids Facebook page.
