STEWARDSHIP
Gratefully, we receive God’s gifts. Responsibly we cultivate and
share them in love and justice with others; and return them with
increase to the Lord--USCCB
THE THIRTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
SERVICE
Part of the Light of the World small group experience is service pro-jects. In the past they have written letters to the Confirmation Candi-dates, made greeting card packages to deliver to the homebound, weeded the gardens and grounds on the church property, served at the Mustard Seed, collected items for shelter programs, and the list continues…….
PRAYER
“…as a matter of equality your abundance at the pre-
sent time should supply their want, so that their abundance may supply your want, that there may be equality.” (2 CORINTHIANS 8:14)
We are responsible not only for our own lives, but for the lives of those around us. It is important that we not only grow, nur-
ture and share our gifts; but that we also teach our children and encourage others to do the same. This is the communal aspect of our Catholic faith. We are the “Body of Christ”. We are called
to be dependent on each other and not live in isolation.

NO EUCHARTISTIC ADORATION/CHAPLET OF
DIVINE MERCY DURING JULY AND AUGUST
The weekly devotion of Eucharistic Adoration/Chaplet of Divine
Mercy will be suspended during the summer months of July
and August and will resume in September. The church build-
ing can become stiflingly hot in the summer heat and many
families will be away on vacation in the next few months. In
the Fall parishioners will be asked to consider committing (or
recommitting) themselves to this worthy practice. Thank you to all who
participated in this ministry this year.

FAMILY FAITH FORMATION—FALL 2018
The school year is winding down; but we have to begin preparing for Family Faith Formation for the fall. We are looking for teachers and non-teachers to share their faith with our children and families. For teachers who taught last year, we welcome you to re-turn. We also invite others to help out—maybe even in team teach-ing with a spouse.
We started a new program last year for Grades K-6. This new program provides the parents with the opportunity to become the primary teachers of their children. Parents work with their chil-dren at home, then we meet once a month, either on Sundays, 12:15-3:15pm or Mondays, 5:30-7:00pm. Parents stay with an adult presenter and the children go to classrooms for 90 minutes. During that time, the parents are given the materials to work with their chil-dren at home.
For grades 7 & 8, we are doing "Encounter", a program that is fun and interactive on the Great Adventure Bible. There are dis-cussion groups, and it works really well if 2 adults lead each group. There will be training and meetings once a month to distribute your materials for the lessons.
Please pray and discern if God is calling you to teach come September. I will also be praying for all of you. Thank you.
The Special Kick-Off dates for the Family Faith For-mation 2018/2019 will be determined soon. Watch future bulle-tins for more information. The Planned Family Faith Formation Grades K-8 Gath-ering Dates and Times for the 2018/2019 season are below:

SPARE SOME CHANGE, CHANGE A LIFE
For the past few weeks, the Youth Ministry has been ap-
preciatively collecting donations from the generous
parishioners of St. Mary to help support our teens with
Camp Sunshine & Steubenville East. While we are still
tallying all the money collected, we wish to offer our
most sincere thanks and gratitude for all your support.
This money will be used in support of Camp Sunshine
and to defray the cost of Steubenville East for the teens attending.
Please keep the teens and chaperones in your prayers. Thank you.

WE DID IT!!! THANK YOU!
GOAL TO REACH—-$68,800.00
AMOUNT RAISED TO DATE—-$70,574.12
Thank you for all that you do to help our parish and our diocese. This year your generosity exceeded last year’s donations by over $1,700 and the number of contributors likewise greatly in-
creased. Your gift to the Partners in Charity Appeal helps reflect Christ’s love to many people whose lives are touched by the ministries and services of this diocese. Because of your generosity we are able to make an impact in the lives of thousands of our diocesan brothers and sisters. The enthusi-astic response of so many is a wonderful testament of how we reach out to others. It gives me confidence that we will continue to journey in faith and grow in the understanding of what it means to be a disciple of Christ. Thank you again for all of your continued support of these ministries.

cellation of events, etc., that may come along. Messages can be sent
out and responses received by either email or texts using your cell
phone numbers. More information will be sent out soon.
