OFFERTORY Next weekend, October 22nd and 23rd, there are two collections. The first supports St. Lucie Parish. The second supports Parish Improvements. Please remember to fulfill your pledge for the 2016 DSA! Every pledge helps us to meet our goal. Thank you for all your gifts.

PRAYER REQUESTS Please pray for the deceased of the parish, especially Gerard Cesar. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Please remember in your Masses and prayers, the sick whose names have been placed before our altar this week. If possible, try to participate in one of our Masses to join fellow worshipers in praying for them.

ANNUAL MASS OF REMEMBRANCE In keeping with tradition, Saint Lucie Parish prepares to celebrate a Mass of Remembrance for all those families and friends who have lost loved ones, especially in the past year. All parishioners are encouraged to celebrate the Mass of Remembrance on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 11:00 AM followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. If you have lost someone within the past twelve months, you are invited to send a small picture of your loved one (no larger than 4 x 6 inches) to the Parish Office so that it may be part of this year’s Bereavement Commemorative Board. Please use the following protocol so that your photo can be returned to you: (1) Your picture is of a loved one who died within the past twelve months. (2) On the back of the photo please print the name of the deceased along with your name, address and phone number. (3) Include a stamped-self-addressed envelope so that your picture may be returned to you during the month of December. (4) Be sure to have your photo arrive at the Parish Office no later than Wednesday, October 26th! Phone Beverly Librizzi at 249-5575 if you have questions about the St. Lucie Bereavement Support Group that meets every Monday at 10:00 AM in the Parish Center Library or the picture that you wish to add to our Bereavement Commemorative Board for the November 3rd Mass.

TRUNK OR TREAT Halloween Party Trunk-or-treating, also known as Halloween tailgating, seems the ideal alternative to house-to- house trick-or-treating, where neighbors are many a time strangers. Halloween tailgating events substitute family-friendly entertainment for the unwanted risks of what lies behind each door. This is exactly the event that will take place at St. Lucie on Saturday,

October 29th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in our church parking lot. Children along with their parents are welcome. We only ask that no masks or scary costumes be worn. Please participate by lining your car with others and opening your trunk that has been decorated with a Halloween theme. Children will beg for goodies so please bring treats to share. And bring your cameras too! This is the perfect opportunity to make memories, relax and enjoy the evening!

Would you like to donate a bag of candy for our Trick or Treaters? Just drop it by the Parish Office Monday through Friday. Your contribution will bring tons of smiles from our littlest solicitors!

WHEN USING PEW ENVELOPES If you check the box on the pew envelope that states: I want to register, then please neatly print your names, address and phone number. We will need to contact you by phone or mail to complete your registration. WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO READ YOUR ENVELOPE CONTACT INFORMATION!

26 WEEK CLUB RETURNS Back by popular demand, the Council of Catholic Women is sponsoring our ever popular Twenty-six Week Club. The cost to join is only $26.00 (the cost of one $1.00 lottery picket per week) and you could win $50.00 each week for 24 weeks! On the 13th week, the prize will be $100.00. On the 26th week, two prizes will be pulled for $500.00 each. All winning tickets stay in the drawing for the 26 weeks with 27 chances to win in all! You may purchase a $26.00 ticket after the starting date of November 9, 2014, but remember you will have fewer dates to win. The winners will be announced in the Church Bulletin and checks will be mailed to the winners. Beginning Sunday, November 13, 2016, and for the next 24 weeks, the weekly drawing will take place on the Rotunda after the 11:30 AM Mass. The final drawing (26th week) that features two $500.00 prizes and will take place at our year-end CCW luncheon. We are counting on your support by joining The 26 Weeks Club. Just fill out the ticket below and return it with your check or cash DURING THE WEEKENDS LISTED BELOW. You may also go to the Gift Shop but get your registration in by Friday, November 13, 2016 for the most chances of winning! For your convenience we can also accept payment by credit card in the Gift Shop. It is just that easy! All revenue will benefit CCW and all their charitable works, as well as St. Lucie Parish. Please fill out (PRINT CLEARLY), cut and return the ticket below with check or cash of $26.00 to the Church Rotunda after weekend Masses: October 22/23, 29/30, Nov. 5/6, or bring to the Gift Shop or Parish Office.

“Trunk or Treat” Halloween Sábado 29 de Octubre - 6:00 / 8:00 PM
