The Sacrament of Marriage is celebrated after a period of preparation of no less than six months. Registered parishioners who wish to marry at St. Joseph’s are invited to contact one of the priests during regular weekday office hours before making any other arrangements. The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated, except during Lent, on the first and third Sundays of the month at 1:30pm. Please call the Parish Office to schedule an appointment with one of the priests. The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is available at any time to any Catholic over the age of reason who is seriously ill, preparing for surgery or suffering the effects of age. The priests of the parish regularly celebrate the Eucharist and administer the sacrament of the sick at the area nursing homes; lay ministers lead services and bring communion to the residents every Sunday.

O blessed Joseph, faithful guardian of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ, protector of thy chaste spouse, the virgin Mother of God, I choose thee this day to be my special patron and advo-cate and I firmly resolve to honor thee all the days of my life. Therefore I humbly beseech thee to receive me as thy client, to instruct me in every doubt, to comfort me in every affliction, to obtain for me and for all the knowledge and love of the Heart of Jesus, and finally to defend and protect me at the hour of my death. Amen

Dear Parishioners, As I mentioned several weeks ago in the bulletin, as well as our website, I would be naming a new Coordina-tor of Religious Education.
The process is now complete and I am happy to announce that Mrs. Pamela Crozier will be our new Coordi-nator of Religious Education.
I know that Pamela will continue to build on the wonderful work of Mrs. Rita Retzlaff who ran our program for the last 8 years.
Mrs. Crozier comes to us with a wide variety of experience. Since 2009 to the present Pamela was the Assis-tant Coordinator of the Religious Education Program at St. Lawrence O’ Toole in Brewster. She developed and implemented the curriculum for Grades 1-8.
Mrs. Crozier received her BA in English / Writing (Major) Human Resources (Minor), Early Childhood Edu-cation Concentration from the State University of New York in Potsdam, New York.
Mrs. Crozier also has completed levels 1 & 2 of the Religious Education Certification for the Archdiocese of New York.
Mrs. Crozier is a member of St. Lawrence O’Toole Parish and will continue to be active in her parish for var-ious ministries and retreats in her spare time.
We wish Mrs. Crozier well as we welcome her to our community here at St. Joseph’s. I know we will all welcome her with our prayers and support.
A Thank You Note January 13, 2015
Dear Fr. Lagiovane, Parochial Staff, and St. Joseph Parishioners, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for letting me run another pet drive for the Putnam Humane Society. The outpouring of generosity by the parishioners was again very touching. It really made me feel that as a par-ish we can make a difference in the lives of some of God’s creatures. We collected a great deal of items for both dogs, cats, and much needed items for the ken-nels. I am very proud and honored that my par-ish came together to make this second pet drive a GREAT success! We also raised $566 that Putnam Humane Society will be able to use for any of the animal’s needs such as medica-tion or surgeries. I hope to have another suc-cessful pet drive in the future. Thank you again for your support. You really helped make it a wonderful event. Best Regards, Mark Head
