Dear Parents/Carers,

We’ve had a busy week with Year 5 and 6 preparing for the production of ‘Pantastic’, with the support of

Mrs Pelchat and Mrs Bishton. The SATs results were released this week and Year 6 did very well, thank

you for your hard work.

Tonight is the Year 6 performance of Pantastic at the Albany Theatre @ 7.00pm.

The children have enjoyed a wonderful performance of Pantastic at the Albany theatre, what a

Brilliant cultural experience!!

Please support our Year 5 and 6 pupils as they strut their stuff on the stage!!

Last few tickets remaining, pay at the Box Office tonight, starts at 7.00pm. Bar opens at 6.00pm.

Romero Spelling Bee

The buzz last week was all about the very first Romero Spelling Bee final hosted here at SJF. Schools from across the

academy sent the best spellers in their phases to battle it out to become the champion of champions!

The final consisted of 3 rounds; a traditional spell it aloud spelling bee, choose the correct spelling and anagrams. We

were so proud of all the children who competed, a lot of hard work and practice went in and it showed! All adults

were blown away by how fantastic the spelling was!

The champions were:

Year 1 & 2 - St Patricks

Year 3 - St John Fisher

Year 5 & 6 - Corpus Christi

But all the children were the bee’s knees!




Year 4 – Sports Festival at Cardinal Wiseman:

Children in Year 4 enjoyed a day of activities at Cardinal Wiseman last week.

GAME-ON league 2018/2019 The football team were in action this week in the final game of their GAME-ON league 2018/2019 campaign vs. Little Heath Primary School. The team played very well and won the game 7-3. This means that they not only won the game but have also won the league this year- an excellent achievement. Well done, everybody!

Freeze Pops every day

Freeze Pops available every day next week, until we run out!! There will be two sizes available the bigger will be 30p each and smaller will be 20p each. Any money raised will go towards the cost of the production.

Church Car Park

We have had complaints regarding parents using the Church car park and driving very fast when entering,

and leaving. Congestion is building up when cars are leaving the car park and Tiverton Road is becoming

blocked, resulting in some heated moments. Please be considerate to others when leaving the car park as

there are still children arriving.

Reminder for YR2 Parents When the children return to school in September and are in their new YR3 classes they

no longer are entitled to Free Universal Meals and payment for meals provided by the kitchen will be required.

Meals will need to be paid for in advance and this is done on dinner money top up on Parentmail. Please contact

the office if you think you would be eligible for free school meals. Please see below:
