Who will roll back the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb. Mk 16:3 REFLECTION. On Easter morning little did the women know that the stone had already been rolled away and that Jesus was alive. But the women’s question persists today. Who will roll away the stone for us? Who will free humanity from death, sin, and from despair? How do we roll away the culture of death? PRAYER. Lord, renew my faith that the stone has been rolled back already and that your victory is among us! Pro-life Reflections for Every Day

STEWARDSHIP

+VOCATION VIEW+

The Lord will come when we least expect him. Is he

knocking now, asking us to serve as a priest or

religious? ( Luke 12:49-53)

Fourth Sunday of Easter

First Reading: Acts 2:14a, 36-41

Second Reading: 1 Peter 2:20b-25

Gospel: John 10:1-10

"If you invoke as Father the one who judges impar-

tially according to their deeds, live in reverent fear

during your time of your exile" 1 Peter 1:17

From the stewardship perspective, our consumer

society is in need of an exile in a strange land.

Stewardship calls us to resist the "me first" values

glamorized by our society. Third Sunday of Easter

First Reading: Acts 2:14, 22-33

Second Reading: 1 Peter 1:17-21

Gospel: John 20:19-31

To appreciate who Jesus is in God’s plan of salvation,

we must look to the Hebrew Scriptures – the written

word of God fulfilled by Jesus, the Word of God

become flesh. With gratitude and the deepest of

appreciation that we have been redeemed by Jesus,

the spotless unblemished lamb, let us strive to build up

the kingdom of God on earth each day by living as

faithful disciples of Jesus.

SAINT VINCENT de PAUL OUTREACH

thanks parishioners who generously and

regularly donate as well as those who

donate for special collections (Holy

Thursday, Saint Pedro Calungsod; Frugal

Meals) and those who support the store. Your thought-

fulness helps the needy in our area. THANK YOU!

A THANK YOU FROM BISHOP BEVARD

Dear Father Martin,

It is with great joy and gratitude that I write to

thank you for allowing me to visit your parish

several weeks ago. Because of your love for the

missions and the enthusiasm with which you

facilitated my appeal, the result was very success-

ful. Will you please thank all of your parishioners

for me and for all those who will be helped through

their generosity.

It is no wonder that Archbishop Kurtz thinks so

highly of you. May God bless you and bring all your

hopes and plans for the future of St. James to a

wonderful fruition. Please know that I am very

grateful to you for your willingness to help my

ministry in the Virgin Islands. Your goodness and

kindness are engraved in my memory.

Sincerely yours in Christ,
