CHRISTMAS AND SUNDAY OBLIGA-TION
This year the Maronite faithful have an obligation to attend the Divine Liturgy on the weekend of December 23/24 (Genealogy Sunday). Since Christmas falls on a Monday, there is also the obligation to attend either Sunday evening (5:00 PM Christmas Eve) or Christmas Day, December 25. For the faithful, attending Divine Liturgy Christmas Eve does not fulfill the Sunday obli-gation (only the Christmas obligation).
CHRISTMAS SECOND COLLECTION Remember, it has been a long standing tradition in the Maronite Church that at all Easter and Christmas liturgies, a second collection is taken for the support of the priest serving the parish.
HOLIDAY HOURS
The church offices will be closed Monday, De-cember 25 and Tuesday, December 26 in ob-servance of Christmas
ANGEL TREE "For it is in giving that we receive." ~St. Francis of Assisi 'Tis the season of giving. It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. The tree is up and the angels await. All are invited to stop by the MYO Angel Tree to select an angel to sponsor. Our angels this year are from the Seton Home, a Catholic organization that works to break the cycle of abuse and poverty for young mothers and their children. Please drop off unwrapped gifts at any of the weekend Liturgies or at the parish office by Sunday, December 17th, as to allow us to deliver in time for Christmas Day. Thank you for your support. Please contact Lisa Delgado if you have any questions at (210) 844-2041.
MEMORIAL LITURGIES
Remembering a deceased family member with a memorial Divine Liturgy is a prayerful and lov-ing remembrance of our loved ones. If you would like to schedule a memorial liturgy, please com-plete and return the form that was emailed to you and also available to you in the church foyer.
In addition, you may also provide the flowers for the liturgy (in memory of your loved ones, in honor of someone or for a special intention) and/or refreshments for the fellowship. We hope to acknowledge the names of the people that pro-vide flowers or refreshments in our weekly bulle-tin. Every effort will be made to accommodate your first choice of date for your liturgy, howev-er that may not always be possible. Please return the form to the church office at our earliest con-venience.
LEBANON TRIP
