+ My dear parishioners:

Merry Christmas to one and all! Advent has always been a time of patient waiting for the arrival of the Messiah. Now that He is here, we may all rejoice that God’s promise has been fulfilled.

As a parish family, we have shared so much together this past year. We have seen our loved ones being baptized, receive First Holy Communion and Confirmation, get mar-ried, and sadly, we have lost family members and had Masses celebrating their time with us here on earth. I know first-hand the beauty of your families as I have participated in these sacramental moments with you, and I am truly humbled by your genuine trust and friendship in having me accompany you at these spiritual milestones.

This year began a very exciting new chapter in our history as a parish with the building of our Daily Mass Chapel, where we will celebrate much of our spiritual lives together. Through the extraordinary support of all the original parishioners who participated in the initial capital campaign to the recent support of those who are helping to trim out the church to be an exceptional place of worship, as your pastor, I could not be more hon-ored to steer us in the direction of realizing this dream in 2020.

We are equally thankful for the outstanding support of all our volunteers. As I think about it, there are literally hundreds of you who do everything from food programs to bereavement to prayer groups, from altar servers, musicians, Eucharistic ministers, lec-tors, ushers, and church decorators to our lovely gift shop in the Parish Center to our RCIA team and to the Knights of Columbus to name just a few.

Father Carlos, Father Vincent, and Deacon Andy are wonderful colleagues. Their gener-osity of spirit and all the creativity they bring to their individual ministries is first rate. I am truly blessed to have such excellent companions in our mission here to serve you with all our hearts.

I also deeply thank our dedicated staff, whose pictures you see around this page. Each one of them works tirelessly to make St. E’s a truly caring and welcoming faith commu-nity.

When you attend one of the Christmas Masses and once your family is happily settled in their seats, kneel quietly before Mass begins and look over at the manger. Close your eyes and imagine the brand new baby being tucked in by Mary. This tiny Infant is our hope, our salvation, and brings us His unconditional love. He brings everything we wish for: peace in our hearts and good will to each other!

In Christ’s Peace,
