Bible Study in English From the poem, “Footprints,” the Lord tells us that during our mes of trial and suffering, He has carried us on His shoulders. Join us in Bible Study to learn about the Grace of God and how much He loves us. Classes will resume in January 2020; classes are to be held on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m.
Mass Schedule on Thanksgiving Day You are invited to gather as community on Thanksgiving morning to give thanks for all of God's blessings with your Parish family. Thanksgiving Mass in English is at 9 am. Thanksgiving Mass in Spanish is at 10:30 am. You are also invited to bring the bread you will share at the table that day, as well as the bo le of wine or sparkling water you plan to serve with your Thanksgiving meal that day. There will be a special blessing of these personal items during the Mass and then you can take them home for your dinner. Individually and as a Parish Family we have so much to be grateful to God for. In the spirit of the day, please consider bringing some canned goods or non perishable food items for St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry as well.

Building active listening skills with children Building your active listening skills with the children in your life can help you communicate more effectively with them, and it can also clue you in to any suspicious or potentially dangerous relationships in their lives. Active listening lets the speaker know that you have heard, understood, and valued what he or she said. OF KINGS AND KINGSHIP Americans have an uncomfortable relationship with kings. The American Revolution was fought for independence from King George, after all. Nonetheless, today every Catholic church around the world celebrates the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. Today’s feast invites us to look beyond our national loyalties and rejoice in our primary identity. We are children of God in Jesus, Christ the King. Our readings help us consider what it’s like to belong to God’s kingdom. The book of Samuel captures the deep longing of the Israelites for a king to shepherd them. Saint Paul reminds the Colossians that we belong to the kingdom of Christ, whose power he praises in a beautiful hymn. Finally, Luke’s Gospel calls to mind the kind of king Jesus chooses to be—a suffering servant, a man for others. By sacrificing his life for us, Jesus throws open the gates of Paradise.
