2018 United Catholic Appeal As of January 11 we have reached 71% of our parish goal with 230 pledges made. If you have not returned your intention card, please mail it directly to the Archdiocese in the envelope they provided.
Special Collection Next weekend is Propagation of the Faith Sunday. It gives all of us the opportunity to reach out to the people of the world. By our Baptism we take on the responsibility to be Christ’s witnesses and to share our faith with the world that has yet to hear the Good News of God’s love. Please be as generous as possible.
COMMUNITY INFORMATION Providence to hold Freshman Registration – Our Lady of Providence High School will hold registration conferences for incoming freshmen for the 2018-2019 school year in the Robinson Auditorium lobby on Monday, February 5, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm according to last name. An online enroll-ment portion is required prior to the conferences. The snow make-up day, should it be needed, will be February 8. Catholic Charities News – Operated by volunteers, Marie’s Ministry Community Distribution Center is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at 305 East 7th Street in New Albany. Families from Indiana and Kentucky can come and receive items. We do ask that they bring identification and their child’s birth certificate if they are receiving items for a child. Items available include: • maternity clothes • infant and children’s clothing (NB to size 7) • car seats, baby beds, strollers • diapers, baby food, household items • appliances and furniture

Basketball Deanery Night – Our Lady of Providence Jr.-Sr. High School will hold its Winter Deanery Night on Tuesday, January 23, during the varsity boys’ basketball game vs. Silver Creek, beginning at 7:30 pm. All students, teachers and families from the New Albany Deanery are invited to attend. Deanery boys’ basketball teams will be recognized during halftime. Other events will include a 3-point shooting contest among the Deanery coaches.
Football News – Initial planning meeting for the 2018 Clark County Catholic Football season will be Thursday, February 1 at 6:30 pm, in the North Social Hall at St. Anthony.
