We recommend arriving at Split by September 12 and staying the night in Togir prior to the charter. The base at Agana is about a 20 minute taxi ride from Trogir. Plan to be at the base by noon on Saturday, Sept. 12th Sunday Finish up last minute preparations and then set sail for the town of Milna on the Island Brac. This is another medieval city where the boats tie up right to the main streets of town. Monday Sail to Palmizana. Palmizana is a beautiful marina with floating docks located in a protected basin in a park like setting. There is a nice restaurant and several bars after a short hike across this very narrow island. Tuesday Leave the boat tied up at Palmizana and take the water taxi to Hvar City on the island of Hvar. Hike up to the fort overlooking the town and have dinner in town before heading back to Palmizana. Wednesday On the western side of the island is Komiza-Korculs (Vela Luka). It’s a small town with a harbor that is sheltered from all winds. Korcula is the island where Marco Polo was born. His birthday is celebrated in September. Thursday Sail to Viz. The harbor town of Komiza is near the famous “Blue Lagoon” and it has many great restaurants. Dining Dining out in Croatia is a major part of the whole experience. Unlike our other cruises where boats are stoked with extensive provisions, we’ll be taking most meals ashore in the numerous restaurants located a every port. Good places to eat with reasonable prices are plentiful in Croatian harbors.

Bareboat Charter Certifications Basic Coastal Cruising students who wish to earn Bareboat certification may do so on this cruise. The cost is $400.00 for instruction and certification ($300 for Spinnaker members). ASA text and certification testing are included. You can take the written exam before or after your trip.

Bareboat Charter candidates must have at least three experiences as skipper on 27 foot boats or larger and taken the motoring and docking endorsement class before attempting the BBC certification.

Activities in Croatia Croatia is a wonderful place to explore by boat. Island life centers around the harbors where there are many tavernas (restaurants) and shops. People can sit back and relax in the open air tavernas for hours. The food is excellent with many local specialities. There are also many spots to visit with ruins dating back thousands of years. Exploring ashore can be done by foot, taxi or in rental cars and scooters. But the best way to explore Croatia is by sea.

The Boats The boats are 5 Sunsail 47 Monohulls. These boats have 4 cabins, each with its own private head.

(Visit www.sunsail.com/search/boats for details about the boats.)
