nowned violinist, vocalist,
composer and conductor
Shri Dinesh Kumar Prab-
hakarji from New York
and accompanying art-
ists. The group sang vari-
ous Bhajans starting with
Ganesh Vandana, Sant
Kabir, Shri Sai Baba,
Lord Shiv, Lord Krishna
etc., pleasing one and
all present. After the
concert, there was regu-
lar evening Dhoop Aarti
followed by dinner spon-
sored by The Mughals
r e s t a u r a n t .
All the seniors appreciat-
ed the program and
said that they enjoyed
the entire day and were
extremely touched by
the hospitality and love
that was showered on
them by Dwarkamai.
On Sat May 12th,
Dwarkamai hosted the
Spiritual Gold 2012
program at Shri Shirdi
Sai Temple, North Billeri-
ca, to honor our Senior
citizens and elders. It is
an annual cultural and
spiritual all day pro-
gram to honor and re-
spect our seniors and to
seek their guidance and
blessings.
The day began with Shri
Sai Baba's Kakad Aarti
along with Baba Ab-
hishek followed by
Samuhik Satyanarayan
pooja for devotee fami-
lies. The registration was
free and open to all sen-
ior citizens and their
families. The pooja was
conducted by Shri
Bhairavji from the Ash-
land Temple, MA. After
the pooja, food and
seating arrangement for
lunch was made by the
team of volunteers for
the seniors where the
younger generation got
an opportunity to serve
the elders.
The afternoon session
began with a cultural
program by our seniors
who sang beautiful mes-
merizing songs, with kids
playing the musical in-
struments, thus showcas-
ing their wonderful tal-

For the first time,
Dwarkamai conducted
Annual Shri Sai Palkhi
Utsav in the Denver met-
ropolitan region along
with the help of the
Shirdi Sai Rockies group
from June 09 -June 24.
Over 70 homes invited
Shri Sai to their homes in
the three weekends dur-
ing this period and the
areas covered included
devotee homes in Den-
ver and its suburbs, Col-
orado Springs and Fort
Collins.
Devotees were com-
pletely mesmerized to
see the devotion and
joyous spiritual feelings
generated during by the
Palkhi and wished for
more such weekends.

The 6th Annual Chicago-
land Palkhi Utsav started
on Mar 23, 2012 with
Shri Sai devotees from all
walks of life coming to-
gether and immersing
themselves in singing and
dancing to the glory of
Shri Sai. This year the
Utsav, held every year
during the Chaitra month,
was spread over a month
and visited over 70
homes.
A cultural program, Sai
Rainbow, was held on
Mar 24, 2012, where
children and parents
danced to various devo-
tional songs choreo-
graphed by professional
choreographers who
volunteered their time
for this effort .
For the first time, we
visited neighboring Indi-
ana state and the devo-
tees there expressed
their joy in the following
words:
"Dear Sai Devotees:
We thank you from the
bottom of our hearts for
coming all the way from
Naperville and making
the Sai Palkhi Procession
a Wonderful celebra-
tion at our home !! All
the Sai devotees of
North west Indiana real-
ly appreciated the
beautiful event."

Upcoming Sai Baba Palki Utsav in Boston
The next Palkhi Utsav will
be held in the Boston ar-
ea from July 21st on-
wards. The Sai Baba
Palki will visit 69 homes in
the Boston area over 5
weekends. This year, just
like last year, the Boston
Palkhi will also visit devo-
tee homes in New Hamp-
shire and Maine.
Sai Rainbow cultural pro-
gram will be held on the
first day of the Palkhi
Utsav. This cultural pro-
gram features devotional
songs and dance pro-
grams prepared by dev-
otees and kids.

As summer kicked in,
Dwarkamai has orga-
nized a number of activi-
ties for kids enrichment
including a mix of musi-
cal, academic and spir-
itual programs. Activities
include Piano classes
taught by Sanjana Gup-
ta, Tabla classes taught
by Amit Kavthekar, who
is a very accomplished
Tabla player and a stu-
dent of the famed maes-
tro Zakir Hussain himself.
Shloka classes are taught
by Shobha Ramapriya
whereas Painting classes
taught by Anushka Sri-
vastava. More than 55
kids are collectively at-
tending the enrichment
programs to expand
their horizons. In addi-
tion, Shine-In Math, is al-
so running multiple day
workshops for kids to
strengthen skills in aca-
demics, crafts and enact-
ing plays.
Kids Enrichment Summer Programs Embedded Linux Development Course
Dwarkamai kicked off a
series of Professional De-
velopment courses start-
ing with 2 full days of
Embedded Linux Devel-
opment Course on May
19th for the industry pro-
fessionals and college
students. This was an ad-
vanced course consisting
of 90% hands-on practi-
cal work with the inten-
tion of adding advanced
embedded Linux skills to
part icipants profi le.
There were 8 partici-
pants registered and la-
boratory included Linux
workstations running Ub-
untu Linux. In addition, an
open source development
community was estab-
lished to encourage
shared learning by meet-
ing once a month. to fur-
ther the skills develop-
ment strategy that can
develop skills in individu-
als to look for jobs in cur-
rent market by upgrad-
ing skills to the require-
ment of current job mar-
ket. The course was
taught by Anil Naik, who
has extensive experience
in R&D and leading all
phases development in
areas of multi-core DSP-
based framework soft-
ware.

Red Cross Drive
The Dwarkamai Medical
services team worked
with the American Red
Cross to conduct its first
Blood Drive at Shri
Dwarkamai on June 3rd
2012. The Blood Drive
was conducted in a
bloodmobile in the park-
ing lot of the premises. A
total of 21 pints of blood
was collected throughout
the day and met the tar-
get set by Red Cross. The
Dwarkamai team along
with the Red Cross will
be conducting the blood
drive on a semiannual
basis.
Pranic Healing
Kavita Chibber’s work-
shop in Pranic healing
on June 4th weekend
taught students at
Dwarkamai what caus-
es physical disease to
manifest itself, how the
major chakras in our
body control organs
and have a psychologi-
cal component as well.
The workshop focused
on aura cleansing, pow-
erful ways to revitalize
chakras and organs,
healing relationships at
home and office, medi-
tation and how to main-
tain energetic hygiene.
Acupressure Workshop
Prof. K. Ravindran, a re-
nowned Acupressure,
Natural Therapist and
Healer conducted a
wo rkshop a t S hr i
Dwarkamai Vidyapeeth
on Sunday, June 17th.
Prof. Ravindra explained
the benefits and wonders
of acupressure that help
in pain management and
treating all parts of the
body. He showed live
demonstrations of how
common ailments can be
easily cured by acupres-
sure within minutes. He
also gave suggestions on
how diseases like diabe-
tes, indigestion, heart
burn etc can be cured
with the combination of
acupressure and natural
remedies. The workshop
was attended by more
than 60 people. The
crowd was very im-
pressed with the way
Prof. Ravindran ex-
plained the facts in a
plain and simple manner.
Shri Dwarkamai will be
working with Prof. Ravin-
dran and his team to
conduct a longer version
of this workshop over the
next year. In case any-
one missed the workshop,
a video recording is
available for viewing.

Dwarkamai hosted an
evening of Hari Bhajans by Smt Leela Divadkarji on June 23rd. This was a musical evening dedicat-
ed to singing the glory of
Shri Hari Vishnu.
Smt. Leela Divadkarji has been singing for over 30
years. She has per-formed programs in the US, many programs in
India and has been fea-tured on radio and tele-vision in Mumbai. Her
repertoire consists of classical music, devotion-al songs and especially the music of Manik Var-
ma.

On April 14th 2012, the
Dwarakamai Sai Baba
temple organized a
unique musical prayer
event with an all day
bhajan utsav. Several
music schools/groups in
the Boston area were
invited to participate in
this event. Among the
groups that performed
were: Smt. Shyamala
Bangalore and her Bha-
jan Tarangini group, Smt
Kumkum Sanyal's group,
Acton Sloka group, Priya
Anand and Uma Sankar,
Abhyaas school of music,
Smt Bhavadhaarini 's
gro up and the
Dwarakamai Bhajan
Mandal.
April 14th being the
Tamil New Year's day,
Vishu and Baisaki festival
- several groups chose
songs in different lan-
guages and wished the
audience a very happy
new year with an auspi-
cious start. It was a
great day, to listen and
join in the bhajans - and
seek blessings from the
Almighty.
The organizers had lined
up a non-stop sets of vol-

unteers to help with the
seating, audio setup,
food arrangements,
etc. Dwarakamai or-
ganizes all these events
free of charge. It is up
to the devotees to do-
nate anything they wish.
Several people com-
mented that this was an
enjoyable, unique ex-
perience for them and
wanted to attend simi-
lar event in future. An
elderly couple from
Bengaluru was hear
saying that they "hadn't
heard such bhajans
even in India !!"
