To supply the required MVAR (Reactive power) efficiently into the grid system to maintain

its grid voltage and reduce line losses.

Near 500 KV national transmission line: to connect the power plant into that existing 500

KV transmission line in an IN-OUT arrangement.

Railways: Coal transportation, Yousafwala Railway Station 4.5 KM

Lower Bari Doab Canal (LBDC): Source of Cooling Water & Feed Water for the power

plant

Green development

Green Pakistan : More than 30,000 trees and 140,000 square meters of turf have beenplanted. and 15,000 more trees will be planted in the near future


Construction Period, more than 3,000 local staff were hired, benefit them on their economic

conditions.

Operation Period, about half of the employees are Pakistanis. the proportion of Pakistani

employees is increasing by each year.

Donate about 200 million Rupees every year to the trust fund of Punjab for social

welfare of Sahiwal Division, which provides medical aid and clean drinking water

programs for local communities.

171 Pakistani employees had been sent to developed power plants in China for technicaltraining, making this training program the largest of this kind.

5. Internationalization and localization

International talent training

HSR does not only builds world-leading modern power plant, but also unreservedly imparts the knowledge in construction, operation and management to local employees so that they can run this power plant by themselves within about 5 years.


Customized training agreement was made between HSR and UET Lahore to develop a school-enterprise cooperation relationship. employees participated in the four-month training program.

1,000 teachers and students from various universities, including University of Engineering andTechnology(UET), University of the Punjab(PU), Bahaudin Zakria University(BZU), etc., havevisited this state-of-the-art power plant.




Various talent growth channels are provided to local employees for improving their

professional skills and international vision.

• Teacher & student activities : A one-to-one teacher & student agreement was signed between

Chinese vateren engineers and local employees to enhance theoretical knowledge and practical skills.




• External trainings: Invite experts to site for professional trainings regarding

languages, cross-culture, health, international management, etc..
