    CONCEPT :ANGER IS AN EMOTION WHICH TENDSTO GIVE DEPRESSION. COLORS ARE SHOWINGINTENSITY OF ANGER STARTING WITH YELLOWINTERMEDIATE ORANGE AND RED AS EXTREME.NEEDLES SIGNIFY THE MISTAKE THAT WE COMMITBECAUSE OF IN ANGER WHICH FEELS US WITHGUILT DENOTED BY BLUE COLOR WITH FINALLYLEADS TO DEPRESSION SHOWN BY BLACKSQUARE LOOPS RADIATING INWARDS.

    DESIGN DISSERTATION : IN CITY FARMINGIT IS PREDICTED THAT THE WORLD POPULATION WILL REACH 11 BILLION BY 2100, OF WHICH 70 % WILL LIVE IN URBAN AREAS. INCREASING POPULATION &CLIMATIC CHANGES WILL STRAIN ALL NATURAL RESOURCES, SPECIFICALLY THE ABILITY TO SUPPLY FOOD. THE CONCEPT OF VERTICAL FARMING ( URBANFOOD PRODUCTION CENTRE ) IS THE SOLUTION FOR IN CITY AGRICULTURAL PRACTICE IN SUSTAINABLE MANNER.

    1. THE SITE SELECTED IS THE SLUM DWELLERS AREA AT CUFFE PARADE , CAPTAIN PRAKASH PETHEMARG, SEA FACE BEHIND BACKBAY (MHADA) TRANSIT CAMP.2. THOUGH THE INHABITATNTS OF THIS AREA OF THE CITY OF MUMBAI THE COMMERCIAL HUB OFOUR COUNTRY , BUT THEIR LIVING CONDITIONS ARE TOO POOR.3. MOSTLY FISHERMAN & WASHER MAN BY OCCUPATION THEY ARE SILENTLY SERVING FOR THEUPPER CLASS PEOPLE, LIVING A LIFE IN INHUMAN CONDITION.4. THE SITE ALSO HAS AN EXISTING BUS DEPOT & A SPACE FOR A PROPOSED HELIPAD. THE HELIPADCURRENTLY IS USED BY CHILDREN AS A PLAY GROUND & WORKERS OF DHOBI GHAT TO DRYCLOTHS.

    AS THE DEVELOPEMENT OF THIS AREA COMES UNDER S.R.A.(SLUM REDEVELOPEMENT AUTHORITY ) PROJECT, IT HAS TO BE UNDERTAKEN BY DEVELOPERWHERE 51% OF THE AREA GOES FOR THE S.R.A. PROJECT & GOES FOR THE DEVELOPER'S OWN PROJECT .IN MY PROPOSAL, I HAVE NOT CONSIDER A REGULAR DEVELOPER WHO WILL BUILD LUXURIOUS FLATS IN HIS 49% AREA BECAUSE1. IT IS NOT FEASIBLE TO HAVE A LUXURIOUS SOCIETY COMPLEX BESIDE A SLUM REDEVELOPEMENT PROJECT OWNING TO THE CLASS DISCRIMINATION.2. AS THE SITE IS NEAR THE SEA IT IS EXTREMELY ESSENTIAL TO UTILIZE & BUILD A PROJECT THAT WILL BENEFIT THE CITY & CAUSE LEAST DAMAGE TOECO-SYSTEM.HENCE I HAVE CONSIDERED THE DEVELOPER TO BE A BIOTECH COMPANY LIKE AMWAY & HAVE PROPOSED AN IN CITY AGRICULTURE BUILDING WHERECROPS WILL BE PRODUCED THROUGH AEROPONICS AND HYDROPONICS FARMING.

    1. MORE PRODUCT IN LESS FOOT PRINT AREA.2. THIS TYPE OF FARMING IS DIFFERENT FROM NORMAL AGRICULTURE AS WELL AS GREEN HOUSE AGRICULTURE. EVERY ASPECT OF CROP GROWTH ISCONTROLLED.3.     BANGANGA OR BANGANGA TANK IS AN ANCIENTWATER TANK THAT FORMS PART OF THEWALKESHWAR TEMPLE COMPLEX IN MALABAR HILLAREA OF MUMBAI. IT IS REVERED BYHINDUISM AS THE ORIGIN OF THE TANK LAYSHROUDED IN HINDU MYTH. THE SITE HASINSPIRED MANY ARTISTS, FILM AND CANVAS FOR THEMASTER PIECES OF CREATIONS.'BANGANGA FESTIVAL' OF MUSIC ORGANIZED BY THEMAHARASHTRA TOURISM DEVELOPMENTCORPORATION (MTDC) HAD ALWAYS BEEN THEANNUAL ATTRACTION FOR MUMBAICITY.HENCE, IT IS CONSIDERED AS A SPIRITUALPILGRIMAGE SITE AS WELL AS A CULTURAL CENTER.BANGANGA TANK IS ONE OF THE OLDEST SURVIVINGSTRUCTURES OF ANTIQUITY IN MUMBAI,THUS, PROTECTED BY THE INDIAN GOVERNMENT AS ANATIONAL HERITAGE SITE.

    THE TANK IS A RECTANGULAR POOL STRUCTURESURROUNDED BY STEPS ON ALL FOUR SIDES WITHFIFTEEN TEMPLES AROUND THE HAS AT THE PERIPHERY. THEWATER SPRINGS FEED THE TANK.DESPITE ITS LOCATION ONLY FEW METERS AWAY FROMTHE SEA, WATER IS SWEET. THE TWOPILLARS; DEEPASTAMBH; ARE STANDING ON THE SOUTHEDGE OF THE LAKE. IT HAD BEEN LIT INANCIENT TIMES. FAMOUS HINDU HOLY MEN, SRI RANJITMAHARAJ (1913-2000) AND HISGURU SRI SIDDARAMESHWAR MAHARAJ (1888-1936),HAVE SAMADHI SHRINES IN THEVICINITY.

    IT IS SAID THAT LORD RAMA ON HISWAY TO LANKA, IN SEARCH OF SITA,HALTED HERE TO SEEK THE BLESSINGS OF THESAGE GAUTAMA. THEREFORE, AN ARRANGEMENT NEEDTO BE MADE WHICH WOULD ENABLE PEOPLE TO HELPA HELPLESS PERSON IN SUCH EMERGENCYSITUATIONS.THE TUBES WILL BE INSTALLED ALONG THE PERIPHERY,ON THE WALLS AT REGULAR INTERVALS. ONEEND OF A ROPE WILL BE ATTACHED TO THE TUBE ANDTHE OTHER END WILL BE ATTACHED TO THEPERIPHERY WALL.THE ROPE WILL HELP IN DIRECTINGTHE TUBE TO THE DROWNING PERSON.
