Xcel Energy’s comprehensive commitment to customers is the framework for keeping energy costs affordable, powering economic development, lowering fuel costs and making the best, most efficient use of this region’s natural resources.
In 2019, 28% of electricity provided to customers in the region was from carbon-free resources. Xcel Energy expects to provide electricity that is nearly 50% carbon-free to New Mexico and Texas customers by 2023, with a company goal to provide 100% carbon-free energy to all customers by 2050.
