Interpretive Sign: Tamie Saffell
• Goal: This sign informs students about important dates for advising at Western Oregon University.
• Audience: Undergraduate students at Western Oregon University.
• Message: Students may need to meet with their advisor in order to register for classes week eight of the term.
Key Changes in Next Design
• Change in background color
• Images move to a vertical placement
• Swap in the main title and subheading
• Use of vertical alignment for the subheading for contrast

• Change in the background of the images; all are on a black background with a thin white border around the picture
• Tightening of the text; states that advising is mandatory
• Swap in the heading and subheading once again
• Use of proximity; both the holiday and date are attached to the image

• Change in the type style so there is more emphasis on the title
• Emphasis on the words “three holidays” in the body of the text
