Safety Rules in the Physics Lab Safety goggles must be worn when
working in the lab if the situation calls for it. All hair of
shoulder length must be tied back.
Be careful of hanging jewelry and loose clothing.No outerwear. Wear
proper shoes - no sandals or any type of open shoes Know the
location of the fire extinguisher, eyewash, safety shower, fire
blanket, fire alarm, master gas shut-off switch and fire exits. Lab
tables should be clear of student belongs

need for the lab. Always remain at your assigned place unless
otherwise instructed by the teacher. Students may not perform any
unauthorized investigations. Avoid playful, distracting, or
boisterous behavior. No horseplay.
You may converse with your lab partners about the lab but limit
unrelated conversations If you should burn, cut, or injure yourself
in ANY way (no matter how small), inform your teacher. Do NOT throw
any solid material in the sink.

purpose for which it was intended.

working with electrical circuits, be sure that the current is
