Timer Pad (onsome models)When the heater is on, it can be set to

automaticallg turn off in 1/2 (0.5) to 9 1/2 (9,5)hours.

1. Press the Timerpad. The displag will blink.

2. Press the + or - pad to set the desired timefor the unit to stop. (Each time gou touchthe + or- pad, the set time will advancebg 1/2 hour between 0 and 9_2 hours.)

After settings have been made, the displagwill change back to show the roomtemperature.

To cancel the timer, press the Timer padand press the Decrease pad until 0.0appears in the displag.

NOTE: If the Timer was set before a poweroutage, it will need to be reset after poweris restored.

Heat Mode

When in the HI or LO heat mode, use theIncrease/Decrease pads to set the desiredtemperature between 40°F and 90°F in I°Fincrements.

A thermostat is used to maintain the roomtemperature. The heater will cgcle on and off tokeep the room at the set level of comfort. Setthethermostat at a higher temperature and the indoorair will become warmer` Setthe thermostat at alower temperature and the indoor air will becomelesswarm.

Fan Mode

Usethe fan mode to provide air circulationwithout heating.

Sincethe fan setting does not provide heating,a temperature setting will not be displaged.

Inlet and Outlet Vents

Takecare never to place the heater where the inlet oroutlet is blocked or to place any object near the inletor outlet.

If the inlet or outlet become blocked,the heater mayautomatically shut off. Relocatethe heater or removethe object causing the blockage, wait approximately15 minutes and restart the heater.

Tip-Over Switch (onsomemodels)

Takecare never to knock or tip over the heater.However, if the heater is ever accidentally knockedor tipped over, it has a tip-over switch that willautomatically shut off the heater.

or tipped over,use the handle to sit it upright, waitapproximately 5 minutes and it will automaticallyrestart in the last setting used.

Clean the rear vent filter when visiblg dirtg or dustg.Usea vacuum to remove dust and dirt bg passing itover the grille surface.

NOTE:The rear vent filter is not removable and shouldonlg be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner.

Remote Control (onsomemodds)

To replace the batterg:

1. Slidethe battery cover open on the backof the remote control.

Z Remove the old batteries.

3. Insert new batteries, placing them so theirpolarities (+ and -) match the markings in thebattery compartment.

4. Slidethe cover back into position.

NOTE:Replacewith the some sizebatteries asremoved. Removethe batteries from the remotecontrol if the system is not going to be used foro long time.

-&CAUTION:DOnot mix old and new
