Each year, Americans replace about 15 million windshields − and most of them end up in land�lls. At Safelite®, our windshield recycling program is not only reducing the amount of glass going into land�lls, but it’s developing new uses for all those discarded windshields.

To date, Safelite has recycled 9,300 miles worth of windshields. If placed side by side, they'd reach from

New York City to the South Pole.3

Safelite returns broken and replaced windshields to our recycling partner, Shark Solutions.

Shark Solutions processes the windshields, separating the glass from the plastic �lm in the glass (PVB).

The PVB is recycled into carpet backing.

Windshields are recycled into glass cullet, which is used to make �berglass insulation.

The entire planet bene�ts from reduced waste in the land�ll and fewer CO2 emissions.
