Volume 13, Issue 42 A weekly reader for the Employees and Friends of L.G. Everist, Inc. October 11, 2013 SAFE CRANE OPERATION IS UP LIFTING In late August, three members of the L.G. Everist team took part in crane operator training offered by the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators. Upon completion of two days of rigorous training on crane terminology, function, rigging, load charts and safe operation, Mike Bunkers (Dells West), Joel Bunkers (Dells East) and Brandon Nelson (Ortonville) successfully passed both the written and practical examinations to become Certified Crane Operators. The written portion consisted of a four-hour exam with questions about site preparation, crane operation, technical knowledge and load charts. After the written portion, Mike, Joel and Brandon went outside to operate the crane for the practical (field test) portion of the exam. The field test consisted of four tasks: (1) place the overhaul ball chain in the stop circle; (2) follow hand signals; (3) place the overhaul ball in barrels; and (4) negotiate the zigzag corridor with test weights. SAFE CRANE OPERATION IS UPLIFTING In late August, three members of the L.G. Everist team took part in crane operator training offered by the National

OPERACIÓN DE LA GRÚA SAFE ES EDIFICANTE
A finales de agosto, tres miembros de la L.G. Equipo Everist participó en capacitación de los operadores de grúa
ofrecido por la Comisión Nacional para la Certificación de Operadores de Grúa. Al término de los dos días de
entrenamiento riguroso de la terminología grúa, función, rigging, tablas de carga y operación segura, Mike Bunkers
(Dells West), Joel Bunkers (Dells Este) y Brandon Nelson (Ortonville) superado con éxito tanto en los exámenes
escritos y prácticos para convertirse en operadores de grúas certificadas.
La parte escrita consiste en un examen de cuatro
horas con preguntas acerca de la preparación del
sitio, operación de la grúa, conocimientos técnicos
y tablas de carga.
Después de la parte escrita, Mike, Joel Brandon y
salieron para operar la grúa para la parte práctica
(prueba de campo) del examen.
La prueba de campo consistió en cuatro tareas: (1) poner la cadena de
bola de revisión en el círculo de parada, (2) siga las señales de mano,
(3) Coloque la bola en la revisión de barriles, y (4) negociar el
corredor de zigzag con pesos de prueba. Whoa! Mike, Joel y Brandon
