POSADAS The Organización Hispana would like to invite you to the Posadas. Posadas are a beautiful and spiritual Christmas tradition that begins on Saturday, December 16, at 7 p.m., and continues every night until December 23. On , December 16, the Posada will be held at Sacred Heart Church. On Sunday, December 17 there will be a special performance of the “Pastorela” a play about the shepherds following the star of Bethlehem to find the Christ Child. The play and the Posada will begin at 7 p.m. in Bonaventure Hall. RECONCILIATION SERVICES Advent is a time of preparation to receive the Lord joyfully at Christmas. POSADAS La Organizacion Hispana los invita a las Posadas. Las Posadas son una tradicion muy bonita del Espiritu Navideno que comienza el Sabado 16 de diciembre a las 7 p.m. en la iglesia hasta el 23 de diciembre. El Sabado 16 de diciembre la Posada se llevara a cabo en la Iglesia Sagrado Corazon. El domingo 17 de diciembre empezamos a las 7 p.m., en el salon Buenaventura porque tendremos una presentacion especial con la pastorela, una obra donde los pastores siguen la Estrella de Belen para encontrar al nino Jesus. SERVICIOS DE RECONCILIACIÓN Adviento es un tiempo de preparación para recibir al Señor con alegría en la Navidad. Una manera de prepararnos es recibiendo el sacramento de reconciliación. LLAMADOS POR DIOS Al acercarse la Navidad, las Escrituras del Adviento nos llevan a un mundo de sueños, señales, maravillas y el milagro del nacimiento de una virgen. Muchas veces dejamos que los grandes relatos de nuestra fe, los que son más conocidos, simplemente nos pasen sin sentirlos. El relato del Evangelio de hoy sobre los acontecimientos previos al nacimiento del Señor pare ce una telenovela actual. Sin embargo, la valentía de José, aun en medio de una época que debe haber sido increíblemente confusa, nos brinda un modelo a seguir. Cada semana, Dios nos llama a aceptar el camino de la bondad y la verdad por medio de la proclamación de la Palabra sagrada de Dios. Como José, somos llamados a hacer lo que el Señor nos ordena. Mientras estamos en el umbral de la Navidad, engamos la valentía para estar abiertos a lo que sea, a lo que el Señor requiera de nosotros durante nuestra celebración del milagro de Belén

SUMMONED BY GOD As Christmas draws near, Advent’s scriptures lure us into a world of dreams, signs, wonders, and the miracle of the virgin birth. Too often we allow the great stories of our faith, the ones that are most familiar, simply to wash over us. Today’s Gospel account of the events leading up to the birth of the Lord reads like a present-day soap opera. Yet Joseph’s courage, even in the midst of what must have been an incredibly confusing time, provides a model for us. Each week, we are summoned by God to embrace the way of goodness and truth through the proclamation of God’s holy word. Like Joseph, we are called to do as the Lord commands us. As we stand at the threshold of Christmas, let us have the courage to be open to whatever it is that the Lord will require of us as we celebrate the miracle of Bethlehem.
