The WOW and the WOE of the Psalms A 24-hour Women’s Retreat

Directed by Sr. Sheila Galligan, IHM September 21-22

The retreat will provide some clues and cues for understanding, appreciating and praying the Psalms in the ups, downs and in-betweens of life! The Psalms provide timely, timeless prayer-poems that spring from the raw materials that we call human life! From the most euphoric moments of celebration and joy (“Sing to the Lord a New Song” Psalm 96:1) to the most crushing mo-ments of anguish and anger (“I am so weary with groaning I drench my couch with my tears” Psalm 6:6) the Psalms speak eloquently. Registration at: Malvernretreat.com/register or call 610-644-0400

Voter Registration Drive This Weekend

Voting is a right and a privilege which is to be cherished and pro-tected to maintain our God-given freedoms in this country. As such we encourage anyone 18 years or older, if you are not reg-istered to vote, if you have recently moved into the area, if you’ve never registered to vote, or if you wish to make changes to your voter registration, come see us in the Parish Hall, after any of the Masses this weekend. In the words of Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, Archbishop of Philadelphia: “If we say we’re Catholic, we need to show that by our love for the Church and our fidelity to what she teaches and believes. Otherwise we’re just fooling our-selves. God certainly won’t be fooled.”
