DAY 1 SINGAPORE - - > TAIPEI > TAICHUNG

Your vacation begins with a pleasant flight to Taipei the capital of Taiwan. Uponarrival, proceed to the renowned Fengjia Night Market in Taichung and enjoy

shopping and tasting a variety of Taiwans local snacks.

DAY 2 TAICHUNG> NANTOU> TAINAN> KAOHSIUNG

This morning, proceed to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village. The village features

aboriginal cultures and can be divided into three areas; an amusement park, a

European garden and aboriginal villages. Aboriginal villages showcase the vigorous

spirits of aboriginal tribes from the display of each tribes architecture, crafting and

dancing. You may take a cable car ride (subject to weather conditions) to admire the

panoramic views of Sun Moon Lake and the surrounding mountains. Visit the famous

Wenwu Temple that was built to commemorate Confucius and Kuan Gong. Next,

visit Peacock Park which is a small zoo with numerous peacocks and other animals.

Take a short walk around the lake at Xiangshan Lake Trail and ShuiShe Wharf and

be captivated by its beautiful scenery. Thereafter, proceed to Anping, walk along

Anping Old Street where you can savour various Tainan local delights and preserved

fruits. Thereafter, drive past Kaohsiungs Love River and enjoy the romantic night

view before proceeding to Liuhe Night Market.

Note: In the event that accommodation is not available in Kaohsiung, overnight stay

will be in Tainan.

DAY 3 KAOHSIUNG> TAITUNG

Start the day with a visit to Fo Guang Shan Monastery and its newly built Buddha

Memorial Centre. Situated behind the main temple is one of the worlds tallest

bronze seated Buddha statues. Proceed to Taitung after lunch via the South Bound

Highway which is a road connecting Pingtung Feng Gang and Taitung. After dinner,

you are free to enjoy the hotel facilities at your own leisure.

DAY 4 TAITUNG> HUALIEN

Enjoy a leisurely drive to Hualien and be awed by the stunning coastal sceneries of

East Rift Valley along the way. Continue on to Taroko Gorge, one of the worlds

greatest natural wonders with spectacular marble walled canyons, lush vegetation

and cliffs. Next, visit the Marble Factory, where you can view unique marble

sculptures. After dinner, you are free at your own leisure.

DAY 5 HUALIEN{T}JIUFEN> TAIPEI> TAOYUAN

This morning, visit Qixin Tan Scenic Area; an old fishing village with clear turquoise

sea water lapping at the crescent-shaped shore. Make a stop at Puyuan Specialty

Store before taking a scenic train ride to Jiufen - an old town populated by decorative

old teahouses, Japanese-style homes and traditional narrow lanes, also the filming

site of the movie A City of Sadness. Next, visit one of the largest and most popular

night markets in Taipei - Shilin Night Market. Enjoy the delicious foods at your own

expense. Fashionable clothing and accessories can also be found there.

DAY 6 TAOYUAN> TAIPEI

After breakfast, proceed to Xiao Wu Lai Sky Walk in Xiao Wu Lai Scenic Area. The

transparent walkway extends outwards into the sky 11 metres long and 70 metres

above the bottom of Xiao Wulai waterfall. Next, visit a factory popular for tourists and

experience Xiao Long Bao DIY. Learn the process of making Xiao Long Bao by

having a hands-on experience. Thereafter, visit Crystal Soap Experience Room and

enjoy putting a mark on soap in a traditional way. Proceed to Taipei, visit Miramar

Shopping Mall and enjoy some shopping. Thereafter, continue to National Palace

Museum and witness the splendid collection of Chinese imperial art treasures in the

museum. En route, make a stop at Pi-siou Art Centre before visiting Taipei 101 a

prominent landmark of Taipei. End your day at Raohe Night Market to indulge in a

wide variety of local snacks.

DAY 7 TAIPEI

In the morning, visit Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall - an iconic monument in Taipei.

Continue to Ping Xi, which is admired for its unique architecture and design,

enriched with the culture from the coal mining industry during Taiwans earlier years.

You may form a group among yourselves and purchase a sky lantern at your own

expense. Enjoy the experience of setting your lantern into the sky with wishes written

on it (subject to weather conditions). Next, visit Jing Tong Station which retains its

original traditional Japanese architecture. As the station was built to transport coal in

the past, it has a rich history as the majority of the older generation living in Jing

Tong were miners thus there are also many mining relics to be found. Thereafter,

proceed to Martyrs Shrine and watch the guard changing ceremony which is held

every hour. En route, visit Oolong Tea Centre and end your day at Ximenting, the

epicentre of Taiwans youth culture.

DAY 8 TAIPEI - - > SINGAPORE

After breakfast, you will be free until the departure for your flight home. We hope you
