2.Section-A

Analyse the frame as shown in fig.-1 in which A and B end fixed and span BC carrying uniformly distributed load of 12KN/m and 20 KN at point D by slope deflection method.

(Fig.-1)Determine the vertical and the horizontal deflection at the free end of the bent shown in fig.-2.Assume uniform flexural rigidity EI throughout using unit load method.

Section-BDevelop the stiffness matrix for the the end loaded prismatic member AB with reference to the coordinates as shown in fig.- 3. Comment on the relevance of the chosen coordinates. Examine the reciprocity of the stiffness matrix.

(Fig.-3)Develop the flexibility matrix for frame ABCD in which AB and BC are 10m with 4I flexural rigidity and CD is 5m with I flexural rigidity with reference to the coordinates as shown in fig. -4

(Fig.-5)Analyse the pin jointed plane frame as shown in fig-.6 by displacement method the lengths of the members are shown in figure. The numbers in parenthesis are the cross sectional areas of the members in mm2. Take E= 200KN/mm2
