Children know their colour reading level and there is a huge range of good texts on this site. I would recommend- Oxford Reading All Stars as a new and exciting range of fiction stories, Tree Tops and some non-fiction texts. Try and complete two or three books this week , remember to write the titles in your yellow reading diary.

This week I have been speaking to some of you about how you are keeping fit. Some of you are completing the daily mile either in your garden or when out for your daily exercise. This week in Y2, could you challenge yourself to complete a daily mile. Walking is excellent exercise but you could also jog, use your scooter or cycle But remember please keep safe at all times and follow the Lockdown Rules. I know my family will complete this Daily

Look at the conjunctions mat below. Can you choose four conjunctions from the mat and write your own sentences. Remember to use good punctuation. Challenge yourself to add a verb or an adjective to your sentences.

This week we are going to compare the past with the present. Today nurses are so important to help care for us especially through this Pandemic. Can you look at the poster below and think about how a nurses uniform is different today. Write your ideas in your notebook or homework book. Remember to give an extra big clap for our carers on Thursday Night at 8 0’clock.
