Dear Sir:

Further to my letter of Nay 27th, 1964, Phelps Dodge Corporation of Canada Limited have informed ae, btf telephone, that they have no further interest in the geological survey on Mining claims FP.14340 et al in the Township of Halkirk.

They also stated that whether or not a proper geological report is furnished to this office would depend entirely on their client, who, I presume, is the recorded holder of the claims. As of yet, no geological report has been submitted.

In your latter of May 26th, 1964 you stated that it is not the policy of your Corporation to furniah interpretive reports concern ing geological surveys. I nay only remind you that in order to receive assessnent work credit on Mining claims FP 14340 to 5? inclusive, PP 14407 to 10 inclusive, FF 14412, FF 14413 and FF 14377 in the Township of Halkirk, a detailed report Dust be submitted to the Departnent in accordance with the regulations of the Ontario Mining Act.

I have not received notice from Mr. Bell, the fining Recorder at Fort Frances, that you have recorded any assesftmont work for a geological survey against these claims. If you have done so or Intend to do so , then interpretive reports aust be submitted.

the factual data obtained from the work upon the claims in question.

The above has been complied with and no interpretations of the factual data will be received from this office.

The above is Company policy and any change concerning these matters would have to be sanctioned by the Toronto Office.

Mr. Mironsky, the owner of the claims in question, is cognizant of these facts.
