    THE PROGRAM

    The NYU Stern Undergraduate CollegesMicroGrant Lab is a co-curricular program designed to provide aselect group of students with an opportunity to bring the concepts studied inBusiness and Its Publics thefirst course in the Social Impact Core Curriculum to life by providing funding for the research anddevelopment of business ideas that have positive social and environmental impacts. Eligible applicants arecurrent, matriculated freshmen students who intend to enroll in a spring 2012 section of SOIM-UB 125 at

    the time of the application deadline and during the entirety of the project period.SPRING 2012

    Interested students should apply by 5pm onTuesday, January 31, 2012.

    This is a competitive application process and funds may not be available for every project idea that issubmitted. Students will be alerted of their status by Monday, February 6, 2012.

    EXPECTATIONSIf awarded a Microgrant, you are expected to complete the written assignments that are required of all BIPstudents. The topic of your Cycle 2 and Cycle 3 journals and papers will be the issue you have chosen for theMicrogrant Program.

    You will also be expected to attend and participate in the following meetings during common hour (12:30-1:45pm):
