When we need prayers we usually reach out to the people we know -
people in our own community.
The Prayer Warriors Ministry in our parish is a way to reach out to a larger community of people who pray daily for all of us. To contact “The Prayer Warriors” all you have to do is send an email to the email address below. Only first names are used and your email is kept private. The answer to your prayers may very well be the St. Mark Prayer Warriors who are committed to praying for all those who ask for prayers. Barbara Schenk [email protected]
THE LEGION OF MARY Meets on Monday mornings after the 8:00AM Mass in the Chapel where we recite the Rosary and have a short meeting. The Legion offers an opportunity for both spiritual and active enrichment. We invite our auxiliary members to join us and always welcome new members.

Leave a Legacy to
St. Mark Parish
Gather information about your assets, including retirement funds, bank accounts and real property.
• Choose the type of bequest you’d like to make. A.) Unrestricted bequest – This is a donation to be used for St. Mark Parish general funds. This donation would be used where most needed. B.) Restricted bequest – This donation specifies how the money is to be used. (This could be restricted to go into an endowment, a specific use, or renovation fund.)
• A bequest can be made in a number of ways: A.) Specific dollar amount B.) Specific assets such as securities, real estate or tangible property.
• Retirement account assets consisting of any benefits remaining in your retirement plan.
• A residuary bequest – St. Mark Parish receives all or a percentage of your estate after all other obligations are met.
• An existing will or trust can be easily amended to include a gift to St. Mark Parish without rewriting the entire document, called a codicil, which adds a new bequest while reaffirming the terms of your will. Your attorney can prepare an amendment to a revocable trust to add St. Mark Parish.
• Meet with your estate planning attorney. An attorney can best advise you.
• All bequests to St. Mark Parish are fully deductible for estate tax purposes.

As the projects are completed each one is prayed over by the group. Please join us on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from Sept 2019 until April 2020 in the St. Clare room behind the church. You will be doing something useful and you will meet some nice ladies. Contact: Madelline Hanney at (561) 736-8358

Saint Mark Adult Choir The Choir is open to any adult wishing to be a member of this ministry. If you can sing and are willing to make the commitment, we welcome you. The Choir performs at the 10 am Mass each Sunday and at various other special occasions during the year including, Holy days, special feast days, First Communion and Confirmation. Also, once each year the Choir puts on a Broadway Musical presentation at the Friar’s Fare.
We rehearse on Tuesday night in the church from 7 to 9 pm. It is imperative that you attend rehearsals if you decide to make the commitment. If you can read music it is helpful but if you can’t, and are willing to try to sing with us, that’s okay too. The Holy Spirit will guide you and let you know whether or not you are suited to be with us.
If you are interested, join us Tuesday evening starting September 10, 2019. Contact Ron Albano:
Our Pastor, Father Dan, would like to start up the Children’s Choir again. Children in Kindergarten and grades 1 to 5 are invited to join. Interested students should report to the St. Mark Parish Center (Gym) on Wednesday, September 25 for the first session. Practices will be held on Wednesdays from 5:45pm - 6:25pm. CCD students are welcome to come before CCD classes start, and will be guided to their CCD classrooms. Students who are members of our church but not attending CCD are also encouraged to join! We have plans for the Children’s Choir to sing once a month at the 10:00am Family Mass, and occasionally for other holidays/holy days. If your child is interested in coming, please fill out the form on page 11 below and bring it to practice any Wednesday. Thank you! Mrs. Maureen Fulop

In the lead up to "World Day For Migrants and Refugees" on Sept. 29th, 2019, we pray today's Psalm: Psalm 90: "In every age, O Lord, you have been our refuge." “I would like to ask you all to see a ray of hope as well in the eyes and hearts of refugees and of those who have been forcibly displaced. A hope that is expressed in expectations for the future, in the desire for friendship, in the wish to participate in the host society also through learning the language, access to employment and the education of children.”– Pope Francis, Address to Participants in the Plenary of the Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People, May 24, 2013 Challenge Question: How does the above quote by Pope Francis challenge my own perception of those seeking refuge across the globe, especially at our own borders? How am I, as a Christian, called to respond to those who come here with hope in their "eyes and hearts", that they will be welcomed?
