WINTER VACATION OF 2015.

The High Court will remain closed for Winter Vacation from Monday the 21st December, 2015 to Friday the 1st January 2016

(Both days inclusive).

No appeals, Petitions or Applications and any other paper of Civil nature including Vakalathnama will be received during the

Vacation, except in cases where it is sought to obtain urgent interim orders like stay orders, interim directions and temporary injunctions

etc.

Criminal Appeals, Criminal Revision Petitions, Criminal Petitions and urgent applications in Criminal matters will be received

during the Winter Vacation.

Vakalathnama, process Fee and Process memos in all pending matters will be received in the office and compliance of office

objections is also permitted during Winter Vacation.

There will be no sittings during Winter Vacation at Dharwad and Kalaburagi Benches. Urgent matters of the nature

specified above pertaining to Dharwad and Kalaburagi Benches may be filed/moved before the Principal Bench at Bengaluru.

During the Winter Vacation, the working hours of the office of the High Court of Karnataka, Principal Bench at Bengaluru,

Dharwad and Kalburagi Benches shall be from 10.15 AM to 02.00 PM, except on Vacation Court Sitting Days. On Vacation Court Sitting

Days, the working hours shall be from 10.15 AM to 05.00 PM. Saturday the 26th December 2015 will not be working day during Winter

Vacation.

Papers will be received from 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM on working days, except on Vacation Court Sitting Days. On Vacation

Court Sitting days papers will be received from 10.30 AM to 3.00 PM.

Vacation Benches mentioned hereunder will sit on Tuesday the 22nd, Tuesday the 29th and Thursday the 31st December 2015

in Court Halls mentioned against them on the ``SITTING DAYS'' noted below at 10.30 AM During the Vacation to hear urgent matters.

Matters of the nature referred to above filed during vacation and inclusive of the day previous to the sitting day will be posted before the

respective Benches. But those cases filed on the sitting day will not be posted on that day, except by the Special Orders of the Vacation

Bench.

On the days of sitting, after completion of the work of the Division Bench, Hon'ble Judges sitting in Division Bench will sit

single and take up single Bench matters.

Memos for posting will not be entertained by the Registrar (Judicial) or the Deputy Registrar during Winter Vacation Motions to

take up the case./s shall be made before the respective Benches.

PART-II

District Judges/Senior Civil Judges are directed to dispose of urgent civil matters in which injunction, stay of proceedings and

attachment orders etc., are sought for during Winter Vacation of 2015.

PART-III

In exercise of the powers conferred under Sub-Section (5) of Section 28 of the Karnataka Civil Courts Act, 1964, the Vacation

District Judges/Senior Civil Judges are directed to exercise the same adminstrative control over the staff of the Civil Courts that is being

exercised by the Prl. District and Sessions Judge, during the period of Winter Vacation of 2015, in the absence of Prl. District and

Session Judge in the headquarters.

PART-IV

Wherever the Senior Civil Judges mentioned in column No.2 are designated as Vacation Senior Civil Judges, the District

Judges are directed to issue a Notification as required under Sub-Section (3) of Section 10 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973,

making provisions for the disposal of any urgent application.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 9(5) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 the Senior Civil Judges

mentioned in Column No.2 of the above table are hereby directed to dispose of any urgent application which is, or may be, made or

pending before the District Judge of the District Courts mentioned in Column No. 3 of the above table, during Winter Vacation of 2015.

During the absence of the Chief Judicial Magistrates in the station, all the Senior Civil Judges in the District, would exercise
