Matching of register data

Special data protected key By „branch-specific personal identification number official statistics“ (bPK AS)Produced by the data protection office due to name, date of birth, birth place via ZMR (central population register)Registrar has to order this PIN in an encrypted (ciphered) form for his data, which he has to transmit to Statistics Austria Statistics Austria decrypts (deciphers) these PIN and uses this PIN as a common matching variable

Principles of register based censuses
