Please Join Me in Prayer

Sunday, August 6th beginning at 6pm we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper and Pray. During this time together we will specifically pray for our children and students, schools, teachers, and administra-tors. Our goal is that we would inundate the throne of God on behalf of our children, teachers and administrators in intercessory pray-er. More so than any other time in our nation’s history we need to pray for our schools. Some of God’s most faithful saints work in our school systems and these individuals know how dramatically things have changed over the years. Legislation and court rulings have all but forced the school systems from any type of religious conversation as well as any teacher initiated teaching on Biblical truth. The results have been nothing short of disasterous. The local school was once considered to be a safe place to send our children. Now, many schools have become a “safe place” for unsafe things and people. Un-derstanding the challenges our school systems are facing we want to pray for those involved and pray with those involved. Please make this Sunday evening a priority in your schedule.

August 13 Club 56 We are excited to announce that this fall we are starting a preteen ministry for your 5th and 6th graders. They will still be connect-ed to the children’s ministry but will have their own Small Group area on Sunday mornings. Preteen ministry is a special ministry just for our fifth and sixth graders – a bridge between chil-dren’s ministry and youth minis-try. Students will grow in their relationship with Christ through the Word with opportunities to ask questions and be challenged. Special activities and trips, specifi-cally designed for this group, will be planned on a regular basis. Ac-tivities will include retreats, sum-mer camps, and fellowship trips. This is a special ministry de-signed to focus on the spiritual growth of your kids at their spe-cific developmental stage of life (5th and 6th graders). Because of their uniqueness we minister to them in different ways. They are in a transitional phase of life and are rapidly changing - physically, emotionally, and mentally. They are dealing with pressures that are unique to them in regards to relationships, family, and chal-lenges at school. Our heart's desire is to provide an outlet where your kids look forward to learning and applying God's spiritual truths into their daily lives.
