Additional Info / FAQs: Will students be doing formal academic lessons in this program? No. The flavor of the program will be more similar to summer camp than to school. Students will not be sitting in desks and doing worksheets, instead they will be engaging in fun and creative activities in Spanish. Why isn’t there a program for 3-5 students? We tried to put together a program for both K-2 and 3-5 students, but we were unable to find a qualified lead teacher for the older age group. We hope to offer a program for older students next year or, possibly, later this year, if there’s enough interest. Let us know via email if you’re interested! Will the program continue next year? We certainly hope so. This is the program’s first year and we’re not sure what the interest will be. If there is sufficient interest, we’d love to offer it again next year, but we can’t make any guarantees. If it does run next year, we hope to start the program earlier in the school year. What are the program dates? The program will begin on Wednesday, November 1st and run through Thursday May 31st (the last day of school). The program will not run on half days (2/8 & 2/9) or on days off from school. Am I required to commit to the entire year? For the sake of consistency in the class, we do strongly encourage students to stay for the entire year. However, if you need to withdraw your child for some reason, you may do so at any time. Tuition already charged will not be refunded, but you won’t be responsible for any future payments once you notify us in writing of your desire to withdraw. Why don’t you offer care for half-days? Unfortunately, our busy and talented instructors are not available before 1pm. Other questions: Please contact Deena Bernett: [email protected] or 718-207-4974.
