Catholic Schools Collection

Bishop Daly is inviting all parishioners in our Dio-cese to participate in this year’s Catholic Schools Collection. This collection is an annual collection Bishop Daly began 3 years ago to provide financial support for our parochial schools. Every communi-ty in our Diocese, even those without schools, bene-fit from the strength and health of our system of Catholic Schools. All parishioners should have received a mailing from Bishop Daly with information about this col-lection. If you did not receive a mailing and would like to donate please visit the diocesan website www.dioceseofspokane.org or place your donation in the special collection basket in the foyer next weekend.

Faith Formation

Nightwalk The House of Charity provides breakfast and lunch meal service to the general patrons. Our Par-ish makes sandwiches at St Joe’s on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month, the next being Tuesday, February 9th at 9am. For those who are unable to attend Mass with your fellow parishioners and receive Holy Com-munion, we want to offer you the opportunity to still receive! We want to offer this opportunity the first Sunday of every month, The next being February 7th. If you would like to receive please call the parish office 926-7133 and reserve a time-slot each month. We will begin distribution at 12 noon and offer Holy Communion for individuals every 5 minutes.

Catholic Charities

Winter Drive

Catholic Charities is in great need of Sleeping Bags (new or used) as well as gloves, mittens, hats, scarves, and

underwear for either male or female and all ages. These items can be put in the barrel in the foyer. No blankets needed at this time.

RCIA sessions are in our Parish hall on Tues-

days, 6:30–8:00 PM. Marie Bricher, the Faith For-

mation Director at St. Mary Parish, teaches and fa-cilitates the sessions. We are opening up the clas-ses to all those who might be interested, Catho-lics or non-Catholics. The next session is –February 2. For questions please contact Teresa at [email protected], 509-926-7133.

Our parishioner, Heidi is getting more requests for in home care service than she can fill herself from families in need. No license is needed, but the ability to work overnight shifts is required. Eucharist to the homebound

We know that some of our fellow parishioners can-not make it to Mass, nor make it to the time slots on the first Sunday of the month to receive the Eucha-rist. If you still wish to receive the Eucharist while staying home, St. Joseph has Eucharistic ministers who bring the Eucharist to the homebound. We encourage you to call Cindy (926-7133) at the parish office to set up this service.
