• Conservation easements are typically aimed at preserving working lands and natural areas threatened by development

• Conserving open space is one of the best way to maintain water quality

• Conserves critical habitat, wildlife corridors, and allows for climate change adaptation and species diversity

• Easements funded by IRWM will protect critical waterways and watersheds in Mariposa County
