Kalbarri SES report - May 2013 (continued).

Build of New Garage/Storage Shed …

The shed kit arrived on April 12th - well most of it! With no ‘assembly’ drawings most of the next morning was spent work-ing out what was there and what wasn’t. Thank goodness we had Noel Visser as a unit member who had worked in the past assembling sheds similar to this one - so he was able to work out most things and get us started. At the end of the first day we had managed to get the main ‘C’ section framework up, bolting through to the existing shed and a few wall purlins in place. The second day was full on tech-bolting the rest of the wall and then the roof purlins. Putting up the 8.3metre long roof sheets was achieved by the end of Sunday. With fewer helpers available on Monday and Tuesday the rear and side wall sheets were installed and the purlins for the per-sonnel door. The work had to be put on hold at this point as no more could be done until the missing items were delivered. Thanks to the willing helpers working in hot and humid conditions :- Noel, Mac, Loni, Keith, Dan, Dave, Scotty, Garry, Annie, SteveD, Phil and Beno.
